does anybody know what is going on with the mulgrew and simonsen deal a week ago it said they where both just about signed and not heard anything as yet.
 

Mulgrew could be going to Celtic.

Simonsen could be going to Blackpool.
 
Transfers? We've signed Swansea's second best midfielder and that's about it.
We have no keeper, no right back, one centre half and may as well have no left backs.
Anyone know when pre-season starts?
 
I thought Simmo was signing on July 1. According to Flat Bob, I believe.

I've heard two different versions from reliable HPs. One says the signing is delayed until 01/07 due to Simonsen being due a payment from Stoke, the other says the delay is because we couldn't match his salary demands and Blackpool have come in with an offer better than ours. You decide which one you believe :)

probably wont get the pair of them,weve let surman fall thro due to lack of persistance or lack of ambition(wage demands),simmo is wanted by b.pool,and that scottish kid is in celtics radar now.if we wanted these players so much,then we should have kept our mouths shut unless there were any bollocks behind the bids.Dont hold your breath blades,but i think weve peaked with the signings already.

It's normally the fans who are claiming we are interested in these players...The Blades usually keep quiet until a player is signed.All the rumours are from the forums.
But then it gives so called Blades like you the opportunity to slag off the club because we don't sign someone who we are rumoured to have signed and looks good on championship manager. What makes you think we've peaked on signings? Because we didn't sign someone you thought we should buy?

If we bought someone you'd claim Blackwell would ruin them anyway. But then,maybe you don't go to BDTBL so you are just cruising forums to stir things

I don't know much about Surman but if he's gone to Norwich it suggests none of the "more fancied" Championship teams were after him so perhaps he isn't that good. I'd be more disappointed if we missed out on Simonsen.

may have peaked with players that people would of heard of, but blackwell has said he has scouts out in europe, so we could find some gems hidden out there!

I wouldn't normally respond to a Lennism (worked you out a long time ago sunshine ;) ), but there's no way Talyor is as bad as Stewart. I can only assume it was posted in jest.

Lenny Wenny posted his "we might as well have no left backs" half an hour before there was any mention on this Forum of Stewart going and we still had him and Taylor in a massive dog fight for the number 3 shirt. However, Because It's Len, you assume he's being negative about him going.

If he posted that the Pope was a Catholic there would be a number of posters straight on board claiming he was actually a Jewish Muslim with 10 wives. BIL.
 
I'm not bothered about Stewart going but I have major doubts about our squad rebuilding that leaves us with only Tayls as a left-back.

I didn't check the timing of postings, but len has plenty of negative previous (in fact, that's all he has), so it was a fair assumption.

As for the Pope/Catholic analogy, that's ludicrous. The Catholic Church would only ever allow a Catholic to sit on the Pontiff's chair, it's a very well known fact.

len doesn't deal in facts. He'd more likely bemoan the conclave's role in the election procedure and bang on about how other religions have a much more ambitious succession process.

Sorry, don't know what BIL is, will I be flattered when I find out?
