Don’t think they’ve ever been relegated, although they didn’t get into the top division until 1919.

They were in the second division and finished fifth, outside the promotion places but were elected to the top division because it was expanding by two places presumably due to friends in high places as they were elected ahead of more deserving teams (teams who finished above them in the league and teams who were relegated from the division above).

Everton is top with the most seasons, this season is their 117th, Aston Villa (106th), Liverpool (105th) and Arsenal (103rd) are the only clubs with more than 100 seasons in top tier.
