New Stadium designs..

I admit I only had a quick look, but I couldn’t find any reference to the stadium’s land being defined anywhere in the published court judgment (though there is reference is made to the hotel and other assets). Boundary Corner for example isn’t mentioned anywhere.

ShorehamSt/CherrySt corner land was fenced off within days of the appeal being denied. The fencing has the club crest with Sheffield United Limited contained therein.

McCabe has got the kop fenced in and is now saying the grey areas are not part of the high court judgement as the are owed by subsidiary companies. Well that is the way I see it anyway. We could be losing most of the turnstiles and exits for the kop if the sale doesn't go through which would result in kop capacity cut by half at least. Our options then would be to pay way over the odds for these bits of land which would impact on any stadium development or to walk away and start from scratch at a new site.

McCabe is obviously going to want an extortionate amount of money for that land, probably approaching what he believes he should have got for the sale of the club in the first place, he knows the Prince can’t afford that and perhaps he sees this as a way back into a position of power at the club?

If so and that land wasn’t in the original judgment then this smacks of another long drawn out legal affair and not a quick resolution.. ☹️

I can't think of anything worse than leaving our stadium. Doesn't;'t bear thinking about.

Would CW getting pissed off by yet more legal fuckwittery and leaving for spurs or someone be worse?

Yes I know. That is actually marked with Scarborough’s name on as I recall, which would suggest it isn’t automatically presumed to be within what’s defined as “the stadium” in the court papers?

Exactly, we’re at a point where the club could make history under our greatest ever manager. The club should fight to keep the Lane, but if it comes down to it, we’ve got to do what’s best for the club, even if that means leaving the Lane.

I don't think MK Dons ground is shite! If it did come to us having to build a new stadium i'd go for something like that on a bigger scale with a kop end an overall capacity of 40/45k
Don't worry about the negative replies. Too many on here don't realise what we have in this club and the potential.

Two options.

(1). We have never been a better place than to invite new investment. If the Prince is 'struggling' to deal with this then I'm sure there are investors out there who would take an interest in taking a stake in a Premier league club on the brink of qualifying for Europe. (obviously after all this Coronavirus business disappears)

(2). It seems McCabe has the two corners of Shoreham Street. The John Street and Cherry Street ends. The middle section will still belong to the Prince if he purchases the land laid down in the September 2019 agreement. We should build turnstiles in that middle section of Shoreham Street with toilets / catering facilities and a new stairway onto the central part of the Shoreham Street concourse.

In addition the Prince should keep open the planning permission for the Shoreham Street kop. Not an expert here but this should prevent those residents in the new appartments that McCabe will be building having any power to object to our developing of the new Kop.

Much of what makes our club special is tied up in the ground. Those first visits with relatives, taking your kids there as you get your own, even the smell of the place (for good and ill), the ashes scattered there in years gone by. Walking towards the ground and it suddenly appearing out of the terraced streets like a football church. Don’t downplay what this means to fans both past present and hopefully future. How many would truly swap this for a soulless aluminium bowl next to a flaming B&Q on a nondescript trading estate on the edges of the city somewhere.

This is a fight for the very heart of our club don’t mistake that. Never thought we’d be relying on a bloke from the Middle East to save us from a Sheffielder who claims to love the club. Truly the world has gone mad

So that's the new narrative? We Blades are fighting against being evicted from our ground by McCabe?

Seeing that in black & white brings home the treachery of McCabe.

McCabe must have one hell of a chunk of egg on his face, clearly he feels he’s been ripped off and wants something back in return.

To him it must seem like the prince nicked his bird off him, then she lost weight and her tits got bigger..

It’s his only way of getting back at the prince now, once this is settled pretty much every blade will forget he even existed...

Never taken sides in this wrangle as you can see and check if you wish, but how is any of this beneficial to our club? If any of this does go ahead what will happen?
The entire boardroom struggle has not been of any benefit to the club, unless you count that at last there is a resolution to the ownership struggle and a single owner. The point I'm making is people have taken inferences from the club statement - deliberately designed to be inflammatory in my opinion - and we've very quickly created a mythical battle to stay at Bramall Lane. The only people suggesting we'll have to leave is the club - and they haven't actually said that.
I have no doubt, however, that it's had its desired effect and from now on McCabe will be remembered as the person who tried to drive us out of the Lane.

McGobshitebullshittingbastard back at the lane in any form of "power" would have us back in the darkness in no time. He can fuck right off and I'd rather we left the lane than allow him back.....and I'd hate that.

I think the latest statement suggests the club are looking at removing the supports holding the kop roof up

That's about it for now is my guess,
It would be senseless removing the pillars without a plan to revamp the kop and turn it into something more in keeping with the 21st century.
As the princes part of the world love there sky scrapers maybe something really futuristic is planned. One lives in hope.

You may or may not be right but the negative briefings are hardly one way are they?

The whole thing was a PR disaster which at last seemed to be fading into the distance now we’re be8ng dragged back into it again. Only at S2

No they're not, and the court case showed that both sides shouldered blame in the collapse of relations, but fans seem to have to take one side or the other - which includes taking the most extreme view possible. I think McCabe made a mess of his attempt to regain control of the club and/or a mess of his attempt to sell the club, a mess of the court case and it wouldn't surprise me if he is now going to make a mess of the sale of the land he still owns.
It doesn't mean he's forcing us out of the Lane and if the club are going to start with the emotionally-charged, churlish statements then it seems to me that they aren't whiter than white either.
We don't know the full facts of this and should be careful about leaping to conclusions based on a few vague statements and on which hill we've currently stuck our flag.

Sheffield United hill mate all day every day. As I said during the court case I don’t care who wins as long as Sheffield United is the winner. The prince so far hasn’t done anything wrong since he won. McCabe might have done as good a job who knows, but what I do know is that anything or anyone that does something that might force us out of the Lane does not get my support be that the prince or KMc.
The sooner this is behind us the better but it has to be once and for all this time not a case of “oh and another thing”

As I say, it's only the Prince's side that is suggesting, in a round-about way, that we're in danger of being forced out. It smacks to me of the same games that we heard about in the court case. It does depend on the sums being talked about here, but if the increase in price isn't that much - and since it's the club that is buying itself back rather than the Prince using his own money, then why didn't the Prince just say yes? It could be that he's being just as intransigent. We don't know.
Then again, it could be that the Prince is having difficulty raising the money, McCabe has a mole in the Prince's camp and knows, and this is some elaborate and dastardly plan to upend the court judgement.
Except McCabe doesn't seem to be good at dastardly plans.

He hasn’t a great track record that’s for certain, Baldrick has a greater success rate!

Joking apart it’s not likely that either is completely without blame. Maybe the prince is trying to welch on the deal, maybe McCabe is trying to pull a fast one, don’t know and truly don’t care too much I just want it to be over and us move on. I think that McCabe is delusional if he thinks that he has the support of the majority of Blades fans in what he is doing though. If he was looking for a legacy for his reign this ain’t what he should be looking for. If he somehow manages to wrestle back control can you see him being cheered from the four corners as he takes the fans’ acclaim in the centre circle?
