The Blades are the only top 10 club in the prem not to put their name to a document asking the powers of football to up hold Man City's european ban even though they could benefit from such a ban.We always do things different to others even off the pitch. Is this showing that we do not have the same self benefit thoughts that West Ham and Norwich seem to have or are we being stupid or just showing our class.?

Or is our owner friends with theirs?

Whether you agree with the rules or not, Man City chose to knowingly not adhere to them. The punishment should be upheld whether clubs protest or not. By not putting our name to the doc, I suppose we don't look as petty and self-serving as the other clubs who have.

Personally, I'd like to think we always do things differently to other clubs but not sure how true that is; I'm not sure previous boards or managers have been the most morally sound.

For me though, this has Chris Wilder written all over it- integrity. We don't need to stick the knife in so haven't. Who knows, we'll hopefully be dealing with them a lot more in the coming years and things like this aren't forgotten. Played it smart I reckon.

Seen some City fans on social media saying they’ve always liked us! Strange - they came across as complete tosspots in their social media comments before and after both games this season.

Strange that, because we (Wednesday) have always been the bigger, classier, more handsome, successful and popular club in Sheffield.

Smart move as well as classy. It makes no difference whether we sign it or not so by not signing we don’t pick a fight with Manchester City when there’s no reason to do so.
Never hurts to maintain good relations for future dealings we may have with them albeit it probably won’t make that much difference to any negotiations we might have.

My god you are going back a bit.Mind you i have to admit I can remember Blackpool , Wigan, Accrington Stanley being decent size clubs to.We must be around the same age mate.

Well these are exactly my thoughts to Raimond.Wilder to a tee.

Anything to do with the fact that Cityh are owned by the Prince's uncle

Of course, that was on a night when drugs were cheap and the brain-cells (assuming there were any in the first place) were given an easy ride....oh, and of course this will have been some time ago considering where the grunts are currently positioned.

For some it might be good to reflect, imagining how life once was a long, long time ago. It will help deaden the memory of once being labelled 'Sheffield's biggest club', a title that has little relevance to anything in particular.

Fast forwarding to the present day and little wendy's plight to gain some sort of credibility, if not success...the dark clouds are now a fixture over at the rusty car-park, and the hunt is on for a glimmer of hope, something that has evaded them for...well for far too long as far as anyone can recall.

At least they have the sight of their neighbours, the mighty Sheffield United, to remind them that at least one Sheffield Club isn't afraid to let the world know that there's a right way to achieve success. Just as we'll be considering whether to break another transfer record, I wonder how wendy's current roster will look, assuming they haven't depleted their ranks to the point where they are even more ineffective than they've been for the last few seasons. Not a great deal to look forward to, is there, but there's always bluster and lies to take the place of facts and the truth, so why worry, after all, it's become something of a bad habit for most wendy supporters as they continue their role as Yorkshire's premium comedy club.

Yes and as a thank you I think it is only fair they loan us Phil Foden for 3 years.

Ha poor things .When you think about it most piggies will not remember when they were in the Prem,I mean how many years is it now?I should imagine all those around 16 and under will not remember. Can you imagine what them poor soles go through at School every Monday.I bet it is a relief when the Schools got shut down.
They have a new prize competition at Hillsborough now and you have three chances to win ,it's called guess the crowd one guess for the first half and one guess for the second half.First prize is a one year season ticket the second prize is a ten year season ticket.and a runners up prize of a life time season ticket.

More like anyone under 27 would struggle to remember wendy in prem

We are just not the type of club to go grassing or interfering in other clubs affairs anymore

You are probably right mate .It has been so long I can not remember and I am more than old enough to know.

I agree. These 'top teams' are just trying to free up an extra European place (hopefully for themselves). The Blades have shown we're above all this and won't follow the herd.

The idea that Arsenal are still a top team is laughable.

Martin Sammuels says good on us which worries me

He will be watching like a hawk for any "sweet deal" between them and us.

To me it would have been a bit peevish to sign it. It is in the ballpark of Karen Brady for the clubs lower than 4th to sign it as it benefits themselves, Liverpool just hate Citeh and Leicester's form has tanked, Chelsea may drop to 5th so all had a reason to benefit themselves.
For us we are safe and we may get Europe. It's a bit like the first season back in the Championship, we were safe and may have got the playoffs. We have a good chance with a fully fit squad and two players for almost every position.

If Man City were banned for the next season and then found innocent they would have lost out on an European campaign without doing anything wrong. If they are found guilty they will then have the ban upheld and will lose the following two seasons. So I believe we did this because it's the right thing to do and not just for future favours.

Yemen apart?

it’s a interesting question , because your answer was the one I believed , but then I started reading the relationship between the two countries so I’m unsure what is the truth. I have a suspicion it’s a bit like Britain and Eire
