That'll be closely correlated to having played 4/5 games against Liverpool, Man City and Man United on days other than Saturday. Looking at the slate of games during the Liverpool home game I've no clue how we weren't in the first two

I think that is indeed the explanation. Man U on a Sunday; Man City home and away midweek; and Arsenal at home on a Monday. Liverpool away on the day after everyone has played and MOTD had been on. All selected for live TV.

Liverpool at home was a Saturday but it was a BT live game. MOTD rarely feature the BT live match high in the running order because the BBC are only allowed very short highlights from the BT live match.

Basically, whenever United come against one of the traditional 'big 6', it tends to attract live TV coverage. We've got 2 more in the pipeline for the Spurs and Chelsea home games, and it would be surprising if the rearranged game at Man U wasn't also selected. We clearly rate highly for SKY and BT in the selection of live games.

Contrast, say, Brighton who have featured 4 times as 1st in the running order on MOTD, but hardly ever feature in the live games. Brighton's games against the 'big 6' apparently don't wet the appetite for SKY and BT quite as much as our fixtures do. Indeed, I can't remember many live games for Brighton other than the Palace games.
