Agree re Parkin. he's starting to grate a bit.

But I will keep listening. Some of the recent episodes have been top notch: Clarke Carlisle and Kevin Campbell well worth a listen, and Aaron Wilbraham was pretty interesting too.

They have some good guests on, Rogers was one of the worst. No surprise that Blades fans favourite Andy Johnson (not the bald one) was a cock either is it?!

I think I just need to picture Parkin and that little bald one as the obvious idiots that they are and they might annoy me a bit less. The one recently about 'getting a rub' that had Parkin spitting his gnashers out at the innuendo was one of his more embarrassing episodes.

When people talk of footballing dinosaurs they are referring to people like Parkin.

Got to disagree with you about Rogers, one of the funniest episodes I've heard. It was none stop from the first minute to the last.

I don't listen to it to hear about guys working hard & training professionally for 20 years, then retiring. I want to hear about all the shit that goes on behind the scenes ;)

I dont mind Parkin. He speaks the truth and id imagine (and i know from quite a few former pro's of that same era) that's what the majority were / are like. It is just a job to them and they try to milk it for every penny, cant blame them. When you hear and know some of the stories of how theyve been treated (pumped full of painkillers and playing through pain and not having operations, treated like shit from managers etc etc) cant blame them for how they are. Parkin makes me laugh, as does the ex pro Chris Brown, im not listening for incredible interviewing / journalistic approach, the podcast is about stories from behind the scenes and letting people know what it was like. The little one grates on me, but when hes on form he does ask some good questions, as he did in the Clarke Carlisle one.

As for the rogers one, i thought it was brilliant, some great stories and he told them really well. I enjoyed that one

I’m fine with a few stories but Rogers came across as a cock for the sake of being a cock. I think I’ve had my fill of upside down hotel room and shit in the bath stories. All a bit predictable.

Edit: one thing in his favour was his hatred for Megson.

Listened to the Alan Rogers one this week, despite him playing in the era that I watched a lot of football and took notice of who played for who I have no recollection of this bloke. He reckons he was good as well.

Parkin is definitely rubbing me up the wrong way in recent weeks. His jokes and banter are absolutely terrible and getting worse.

In his own mind he thinks he is funny but he actually isn't. He tries too hard sometimes.

That said he is funnier than the other two but that is not saying much.

I've just finished watching part one of Clark Carlisle. What an amazing and brutally honest account. Fair play to him for opening up and pouring it all out. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Once again another player who despised Kevin Blackwell. What a surprise.

Never heard of either of the Browns or Alan Roger's but I suppose that was the original plan, still its better than Jim effin White in a morning .
My favorite, SHITHOUSE.

Yeah weird I'd never heard of the ex footballer too, looking at his Wiki page a bang average journeyman striker like Parkin and both at PNE at the time we beat them in the PO Semi in 2009.

Agree Crossley is hilarious when doing Cloughie's impression.

Need to catch up, not listened to the last few. Would love them to get Bassett on.

I really enjoyed the Jon Otsemobor podcast last week. He came across as an absolute space cadet but had some funny stories.

Parkin seems to be reining himself in a bit as well.

I couldn’t disagree more. It was so boring I gave up with 15 mins left. He had one interesting story which became dull because he took about 45 mins to tell it.

I thought he was a bit boring

You want the higher profile players on because they have stories about other high profile players, but then they come on and are boring because they can't say anything that will get them in trouble. Luke Chadwick probably counts himself lucky to have Scholes, Beckham and the Nevilles in his phone book so he's not going to drop them in it.

I've listened to half of it and it's not the most controversial but it's not bad.

Might go down like a fart in an elevator but for that exact reason I loved Carlton Palmers. The pig cunt.

I'd rather 100 people fart in an elevator and get locked in than listen to that wanker. It could win awards for best podcast ever and I'd still not listen to it. I like it when the ex-pig players talk about how shit it was (Otsemobor fighting Johnson for example) not how good it was and I can imagine he was bigging them up.

The spaghetti legs one is brilliant. Talks United and Wilder up loads too.

The Crossley ones are fantastic just for the impressions.

Another pig one that’s good is Nicky Weaver.

Firmly places on tin hat I actually liked it, he seems quite a decent bloke. My ex father in law lived next door to him for a while and says he's a great guy. He came across very well and spoke positively about United.

I fully take all comments on the CP one on board but will still abstain. I've said before that my 1 and only experience of him was trying to get to the front of a nightclub queue around 18 years ago, I know footballers do it all the time but it made my mind up about him and I'm not changing it. The fact that I am now embarrassed by half the things I did between 18 and 10 years ago is completely irrelevant, pigs don't change their spots, I do! :p
