Did United actually have possession of the ball at any point in the game today?

The sky highlights appear to show we didn’t, and but for one move we got a corner and scored. They showed a reply of a good free kick we had that was saved but not what it came from or any other pet of that play.

I’m confused as according to the official stats we managed a fair few attempts on goal second half.

what a crock of shit...all palace possession and is clearing it.

What do expect from a pub team?

Was only slightly better on MOTD.
And of course Ian Wright was certain that George should have had a red and Ward's was never a sending off - never change Ian, never change
He’s probably right.

And if that does the trick, so be it.

Nothing against burger. He was thrown in the deep end and didn’t drown. Credit for that.

But on the day, Lun was the man.

He was good, but Palace also changed up a bit and sat further back on that side 2nd half. Burger should have been a sub I reckon.

First booking was highly dubious. I think ref realised and that's why he didn't show a second yellow.... Wrighty thought differently of course.
Yellow all day in this era
Zaha was past him.and he was holding onto his arm.

Burger did well everything considered and should be an asset in games to come.

But, my opinion is that Lunny gave a “you won’t be taking my shirt as easily as you might think sunshine” type performance.

Good for him.

We should have put them to bed in the 2nd half. Quite a few shots and chances, their keeper made a few good saves (after his howler). Stevens had a good shot after a good move, should have used his right foot, Norwood had a good shot from a free kick

BBC need to keep enough time free for their pet team - West Ham. They're London's Burnley - with three times the coverage.

Tbf, if West Ham go down it will be pretty big news. A club with a 60k stadium playing in the championship (and with the inevitable financial fall-out). The title race is over, the relegation battle is the big drama right now. The race for fourth might become a bit interesting though if a certain unfancied side continues its form.

I think CW might have felt obliged to put him straight in. However, I was surprised. I thought he would need time to learn our system that now comes so natural to the regulars.
That said he did ok but will benefit from the upcoming break to integrate into the system and for it to become second nature. Hope he’s allowed to do some of those penetrating runs forward I’ve seen on the clips.

You'd expect Wright to be a bit partisan on this one anyway cos he's a former Palace player and won't want to upset their fans. Like a lot of our ex players, he probably still is involved with the club from time to time.
I thought he said earlier in the season that we were going to be his team this season?
I know one if the pundits did, not sure if it was him.

Wright can't help shows his bias and is a poor pundit as a result. You can't do anything wrong against his former clubs Palarse, Shammers and Arse. The suggestion that Stevens went down is pathetic. Never touched him! what about when you were bleating a few weeks ago about the penalty Arse didn't get against us. Never touched him Ian thats why it wasn't given.

No mention of Palarse dark arts yesterday it doesn't fit the agenda to highlight the blatant diving and attempts to con the referee. Our manager shows class by complementing the main perpetrator on his skill set after the game rather than his blatant cheating when holding his face to try and get our player sent off. You can bet if the roles had been reversed there would have been a 5 minute slot on it.

He’s Palace through and through, grew up in the area.

And that's our main problem. Too many times we've failed to 'put teams to bed' and - at 1-0 - it only needs a deflection, penalty etc. We need an effective, reliable striker who can get double figures and a top-four finish would be assured.

Trouble is, I don't know who is available or affordable.
