Isn't it against the rules to approach a player before the clubs have agreed a deal/got permission from the selling club?

Seems to be the case these days that clubs often give the go-ahead to negotiate with the player if the first bid seems serious, even if there’s still haggling going on over the fee.

I guess clubs normally approach agents and asks whether or not the deal is possible

Call it off lads, Wilder's been found out :(

They're very odd. I'd like to taste their tears.

I love how they've changed it from just 'spending money' (Egan anybody? Norwood?) to 'somewhat name' (what does that even mean?) - so they can include the (free) Rodwell and Morrison. Who cost nothing. Compared to a £20mil CL player. Interesting.

I do hope this signing, if it comes off, will not spark the wearing of red and white hats with horns on them,Viking style, like it did when we signed Flo.

Gutted I didn't get one to be honest, I can't remember that only the Flo (sorry "Flu") x8 who needs Deano chant!

I think it's in smaller clubs (Genk here, us if it was JOC etc) to be seen to facilitate agreednoves quickly and professionally as well. Players, and especially agents talk
