Fair enough, but the team this season with fewest long range shots must be us, and, you can't tell me we score enough goals, it's just our defence is so good we don't concede many.
Majority of the "trying to find the perfect shot" ends up in us losing the ball, because as it's been pointed out, we're playing against better quality defences than we were in the Championship, and the fact also remains, we still need to score more goals, so why not try a few from range?

Our tactics are good, the number of goals we score is limited by the players we employ. We're in our first season in the Prem in years. The solution is to keep going and improve the first team, not to abandon the tactics that have and continue to work so well for us.

There's nothing involved in our tactics that indicates we can't have a shot from range!?
And I think we should have a go if the opportunity arises to do so, which you argued against, but it's better to try than just give up if we haven't got the perfect shot on goal, which still might not go in, as all our strikers have demonstrated several times this season.

I'm saying that the way we play is a deliberate choice by the management: look for passes and create high % scoring opportunities rather than have shots from range.

I didn't say we should never shoot from range. I didn't say it had to be a guaranteed goal before we shoot. I didn't say anything like that.

I said we play the way we play for a reason and it's a choice that I agree with. Mostly because it's backed up by results, but also because teams that have a high ratio of long to shot range shots actually score far fewer goals.

If that doesn't make sense to you then maybe you need to think about it more.
