Im struggling to understand why we don’t have significant money to invest not just for cover this season but to invest in the team now and for next season.
So, unless the wheels come off spectacularly we gain 120m this season plus 125m next plus c. 100m worst case should we be relegated next season, which we should if we invest
So that’s guaranteed revenues of £350m over the why wouldn’t we now invest?
if we invest now in improving the starting 11 players rather than squad/cover, then surely the positives are that they settle in to the squad and have a full pre-season with us and we hit August like a bull in a China shop, rather than buying late July and needing several months to get up to speed
