Read it several times on various threads, blades fans saying 'x' would be a good replacement if Freeman decided to move on. Why are we assuming he could leave when he has only just signed? Has he stated that he's unhappy?

He's not stated he's unhappy, quite the opposite in fact. There's some twitter chatter that Forest and Leeds are interested.

He's not getting much of a look in, and after a decent FA cup game, he didn't even make the bench for West Ham. Might want to go and play.

Was a top player for QPR last season, in my opinion, worth a lot to a top end championship team and wasted on our fringes.

I assumed this was Kieron Freeman at first, who I heard was linked with a move to Forest

Both Freeman's are one injury away from starting. It would be ridiculous in our current circumstances to allow either of them to leave.

Luke Freeman may not even be an injury away, I can see us experimenting with him further down the line. He's a cracking player that just needs a run of games.

Keiron Freeman is an odd one. I often write him off, but then when I see him play he reminds me of his talents. George Baldock's fitness has been remarkable this season given his previous injury troubles, but I wouldn't be surprised to see K.Freeman being required to fill in at some point.

I don’t think either are good enough at this level tbh. Luke Freeman is a player that I raved about some years ago when I saw him play against us for Stevenage. I wish we’d signed him then. He’s still a good footballer but in the games he’s played he’s just not been good enough. Shame. But that’s footy I guess.

Kieron is even further behind for me. I’d be really nervous about his defensive qualities especially. He seems to just switch off.

We’ve moved on to a level that these two struggle at. No disrespect but they aren’t capable enough at Prem level.

Funny isn't it only seems like 18 months ago, maybe a little longer that a lot on here were discussing the merits of Baldock v Freeman, Baldock better defensively but Freeman being better going forward and that at the time in the championship Freeman was arguably the one who should play because we were so strong going forward and now Baldock has not only cemented his place but is a fans favourite, a lot changes in a short space of time.

Doesn't really fit in our system but he will still be needed for the rest of the season. I see no point with him going out on loan. He;s played regular first team football for years. I can see him having more success if Wilder chooses to use last year's formation as a potential plan b. He is still a potentially good option to come off the bench. The kind of option we don't really have.

As said by many, it would be a real shame if we let this lad go after so few appearances, and I really hope we see more of him.

For what it's worth though, I don't see him going just yet. Could be a different story in the summer.

Always looks lively when hes on.. i personally think we may have to change our style slightly yet again in the run up towards the end of the season, hes a player that looks to make things happen so i wouldnt be suprised if we see him a bit more. Same as Robinson... if he didnt miss as many sitters early doors then he would still be in the starting 11!

Cant remember Robinson missing loads of sitters.

Maybe his role model is Lee Evans?

On a more serious note: I don't really pay much attention to what footballers say. They speak any way the wind blows. So Freeman can say he's happy, he can say he's not happy, it doesn't mean much at all. What you need to consider is whether Freeman looks like establishing himself as a fixture in our first 11 anytime soon. And the answer is, no. So, then the question is...does he stay put, not playing any competitive football, or does he look to get that elsewhere? Depends on the player and the stage of career that he's at. I'm pretty sure Freeman must be disappointed at the lack of opportunities, but when he's had them he's not done enough - it's really that simple. So, for me, he can go, because we are already performing at a much higher level than anyone expected, so to improve on that we have to find players who are even better quality than what we have - which puts Freeman even further back in the pecking order.

Would love to know people have come to the conclusion that he’s not good enough based on the amount of minutes he’s played.

In the 4 league games he’s started, we’ve lost once at home to Leicester back in August. He was instrumental in the goal against Palace at home. He started against Brighton, a game in which we controlled for 90 minutes especially in the first half which again he played a massive part in. He also started at Chelsea and was really involved in pushing the team forward in the second half.

But yeah based on the limited minutes he’s had, he’s shite

If they say they’re unhappy, they’re unhappy. If they say they’re happy then they are either happy or unhappy or somewhere in between.

13 shots, 4 on target, 1 goal so far this season if prem websites to be believed! Would have been hell on if he missed his goal at chelsea with what he missed first half!

Everyone said after Flyde he was staying put. I imagine at the end of the season he will have a sit down with CW and say what’s the scenario. As I can imagine we will strengthen again in the summer may put him down the pecking order.

This thread is confusing some people flitting from Luke to Keiron.
