The only time I’ve ever doubted Sir Chris......But to his credit it didn’t hang about when it came realising his mistake. He got them out the club pretty sharpish.

We started sliding as soon as Coutts broke his leg. Like we were on a sledge.

It wasn’t just mental, he was fundamental to us playing out from the back. Everything we did went through him, he was the orchestrator. It’s like when we couldn’t extend Andy Reid’s loan or when we sold Deano, it was such a big impact. I still think if that hadn’t have happened he’d be playing in the PL for us and wouldn’t look at all out of place. Fantastic player, amazing technique and had the football brain to go with it.

Now doing well at Fleetwood but you are right he should be playing higher up than that.

He’s had some shit luck with injuries. Bust his kneecap or something before he joined us. Took him a year and a half and a Wilder kick up the arse to get him back to form, year and a half later, breaks his leg.

That goal v pigs was excellent, I remember it fondly. Derby away 1-0 with Akinbiyi scoring, so that's his transfer fee well covered.
