It's a good job we have a loyalty points system that only lets the longest and loyalist supporters attend away games. Unfortunately some of these people are the ones that get totally wankered and cause trouble. Goading home fans, coin throwing and general hatred and aggression just a few things they're good at. God knows what carnage there'd be if it was a free for all for away tickets. We'd be banned from away games in no time. I'm no angel but ffs give over with the coins, it's snidy and cuntish.

Well every club has them, and sadly it’s a blight of society as a whole.
These wankers who look for bother, throw coins, spit and ponder about in their “hard man” gear at football don’t just act like that at the football they tend to be fucking pricks away from football too.
Be nice if the club could find them and ban the scum. For life. Free up some space for the fans who want to appreciate their own team and represent the club in the same way the manager and players do rather than damage it.
Oh and see them hauled through the courts and face the consequences in their possible professional life too.

No excuse for it.

It felt like a '700 corporate freebies' job like Wednesday and Stoke last season.

You should have come up to the top tier Ricky in the cheap seats with us peasants. It was as rowdy as fuck up there. It went mental when mouse scored.
 
I was hit on the back of the head by a coin in the mid 80's. It smarted like a bastard and bled down my neck. That was at Maine Road incidentally. Anyone who 'blindly' pelts objects at other people (at the footy or otherwise) is a cretinous degenerate and I would hope our fans were better than that.
 
Surely someone, in the Blades sections, must have seen the throwing of coins from the Blades sections. That being the case, have a word or if you don't want the aggro, fully understand, pinpoint the seat nos., call a steward or report back to United with other, if possible, witnesses and let them deal with it.
The consequences of coin throwing can be life changing, NOT acceptable.
Remember charity collections back in the day at the Lane, Rag Day, St Johns etc., tarpaulin to catch crowd thrown coins. Stood at the front as a kid, painful but at least you knew it was coming and took evasive action. Threepenny bits aren't good on the back of yer nut, experience with a small profit as there were often coins on the terracing as crowd cleared at 1640 hrs.

Serious question, what's this or how does the "lend-lease" on loyalty points work. I lend out my ST but only to people who I know won't cause trouble.

With all the CCTV around you would hope that City and United are working together to identify the culprits, but blades sending the club seat numbers would certainly help.

It's quite possible that the person who bought the ticket was not the person in the seat as there is a healthy grey market in tickets these last 2 years. Blokes in their 40s/50s with endless loyalty points just buy every away ticket whether they want to go or not, knowing full well they can sell them on.


Would be a fooking big shock to get a call from the club asking why someone in your seat was throwing coins at a game.

I often loan out my season ticket but only to people I know will not put me in a position to be band by the club or worse by law enforcement authorities.
If your prepared to sell on a ticket, I'm not averse to anyone making a few bob on the side when occasion arises, then you should be prepared to receive a ban from the club or get your collar felt. Responsibility, no?

Very loud on top tier. Songs about VAR were met with un-ironic claps from quite a few City fans who then joined in.

Understand why that place is so quiet though, I know your average football fan is a gob shite knows nowt, But a lot of the city fans around me knew so very little about their own club it was eye opening.most certainly post takeover fans despite being 40/50/60 Year old mancs..

Bar the coin throwing blades fans certainly did themselves proud

See how “hard” these full weight tossers are when they are going to prison for GBH with intent!
One of those coins hits an eye of a victim and there’s serious consequences. Even causing the skin to split open is technically a wounding. All the prosecution would have to confirm is that the offender intended to cause some harm when throwing the coin.

Well it's not hard to work out the little section where the trouble was, which is likely where the coins were from. I saw a few "men" trying to goad and get past the stewards at the city fans, and same for city fans too. It was all happening about three rows behind me in 314.

The spitting incident that's been put out on social media etc, one of our fans spat at theirs, and then they spat back. That's what pretty much escalated things.
 
From his tweets, seems like Foxy was close to some real pond life on the other side of the useless stewards.
