Not sure why people are so surprised at Brentford's valuation - he is contracted for several more years, he is vital to their side as they push for a a top 6 place, they don't need to sell and certainly won't want to sell in Jan. Therefore if anyone wants to sign him they're going to have to pay top $$$.

That all said, I can still see Utd signing him in summer for ~£20m.

Not somebody I'm mad about signing but your bang on. It's a terrible time to try. If Wilder wants him the summer would be better when they fail at getting promoted.

Worth remembering they accepted a much lower offer than was reported for Maupay.

I really don't expect him to move in this next window. Unlike Maupay in the last. All the noises from around the player is that he is very, very content here and it will take a serious PL club to move him on. Of course you may claim you are a "serious PL club" and we will see if that is the case or not. However, again, all the noises are that it won't happen - from his agent through to club management.

We’ll just sign him in the summer when we get our “serious PL club” badge at the end of season awards.

Serious pl club like Brighton.?

The lads decent and has potential but he will go for around 15 or no one will sign him

I haven’t commented on Brentford’s status. I couldn’t give a shit if we sign him or not, in fact I’d say the likelihood of us signing him in January is negligible. But a player who is attracting attention would be well advised to have a release fee in his contract.

Had one on his previous contract so it would be surprising if he hasn't this time.

Nice Player in my opinion, but my Wednesday mate said he did nothing against them and in fact was their worst player.
 

I also don't think Wilder is looking at him to be honest. His price is over inflated at £25million. I think it's a smoke screen for someone better.
