Apparently he's turned down a new contract and sees his future elsewhere.
Oh well, be seeing you.

Pity as he could well turn out to be something special.

A few big clubs been scouting him so no surprise he turned down new contract with us.

These few big clubs scouting him are presumably going to guarantee him first team football.
I assume we aren't going to do that, so he could easily leave.
It certainly sounds from all the noises that have been made that is what he is intending to do.
What is the reason for these "few big clubs" being able to attract him away from us?

If those clubs rumoured to be interested in him are indeed Everton and Celtic, I can't imagine him getting into either of their first teams anytime soon. I've not seen him play recently and would of course bow to anyone with a more recent view but would expect him to be around L1/2 level if he's seeking first team chances.

He might as well take the best wage on offer and let that club loan him out instead.

Let’s see him for big money. We don’t need to sell and would be due compensation as well if contract expired.

He seems to be making a lot of noise about leaving, whether it be to encourage a better contract offer or because he actually just wants to leave. I hope he goes on to achieve great things for his own sake, but he's starting to seem like another Diego de girolamo

Not if we get a fee for him.

And / or not if he goes on to prosper elsewhere in the 'pyramid'. I'm with Ball_Sup (Phil) on this. Academy football supports football as a whole. It's not a zero sum game.

Agreed, I guess the way you could look at it is that Parkhouse may go elsewhere and do well, but we pick up a talented player for nowt from another teams academy (Brooks)
