Lundstram, save it in spellcheck on all devices.

To the point though, definitely another park the bus team so we need to either fly out the traps and get one early or change it round a bit.

Watford can't afford to park the bus really can they? Becoming a bit desperate for points for them. However a low block/park the bus with a counter attack seems to be our achilles heel at the moment especially at home so wouldnt be surprised if a few more teams do this in the 2nd half of the season. After all, we are a champions league chasing team 👀

Not looking bad against Man U to be fair, Deeney giving the defenders a bad day, Sarr(?) getting the better of Shaw, decent passing, organised.

Its gona be rough that's for sure , cant stand Pearson but the twat will have them wound up for our match !

I've never thought Watford would go.down weirdly enough

If they play against us like they did against Liverpool last week then I don't think you could call that "parking the bus". They should have been 2 up against Liverpool early in the game, if it wasn't for having strikers that specialise in "air-shots" that Leon Clarke would have been proud of!

I'm of the opinion that McBurnie and Mousset could, and probably should, emerge as our most potent strike pairing. I'm also of the opinion that McGoldrick is best deployed as a maker, rather than a taker (and I've been saying this for months, not just because of his incredible miss again yesterday). To accommodate that, there'd need to be a place created in midfield. It could not, or at least, should not, be Norwood, because he's the pivot of the entire team, and everything flows through him. After Norwood, I think Fleck is probably the most important midfielder as he has something good going on down that left-hand side with O'Connell and Stephens. The majority of our attacks come down the left-hand side and that's largely down to those three having a great understanding between them. The right hand side of the team isn't so effective - so you'd have to look to that side and make a call on whether you want to include McGoldrick in the midfield. The dilemma is that no one deserves to be dropped!

I know football managers love saying, "We take one game at a time" - but I don't believe them. I'm sure Chris will have noticed that we play Man City and Liverpool after Watford. If ever there was a time to make changes then the Watford game is probably it. Because we will want to preserve our strongest 11 for Man City a few days later.
Watford will be a very tough game.....they have renewed confidence and with Pearson in charge, they will turn up

This is the last of our “5” easier?? Games
I would have been happy with 10 points from this set of matches , and I’ll be honest expected us to lose v Brighton
But I’ll go by whatever Sir Chris says and does

Another would like to win, but an entirely different prospect now.

Looked more like FA Cup finalists Watford today. Should be a good scrap.

The Watford game has the look of Newcastle about it. A tripping hazard not to be underestimated.

Been lovely here in Spain today around 23c
Rough life innit
Nowt will beat the “party atmosphere” inside the ground after the game. Hats off to Brighton for keeping the bars open and treating away fans like human beings whilst making a few schillings in the process.

I'd like us to sign him ,I wonder how feasible that would be ?
I’d have him in a heartbeat - retains a proper connection with the roots of football and the fans. Really boils my piss when celebs/sportspeople talk about “pressure”. Kids to feed and zero hours contracts - that’s pressure you preening pricks

Have to remember that Pearson is a pig to and would love to get one over on us.

Have to remember that will not affect the result one iota. When the whistle blows, not one of the players on either side will even think about it.

Another fans’ fallacy, I’m afraid,

Even before we played Villa and Brighton, the Watford match was always the one I worried about. It'll be interesting to see what happens, but it should be a corker. I thought Pearson might be a negative manager, but he's certainly got them fired up and fighting for their safety.

If they came and parked the bus I'd have expected no better than a draw. Now that they're attacking teams it could go either way. Too close to call.

My form guide should be out in the next day or so. It'll be hard to read into given the change in manager and approach.

I thought it was a terrible game!

Good result for us. I think we are far better at home when teams come punching rather than parking the bus.

Man U are awful. They just got lucky against us. A couple of precise bits of quality in a sea of dross.

Given how we performed against Spurs, Wolves, Chelsea and Man U, I don't see why we can't have a good chance of finishing above them all.
