On my stream it was quite clear that Fleck seemed bothered by something after the final whistle. He seemed to he explaining himself to someone about something & then later still justifying what he'd said to whoever it was to McBurnie.

I wondered if he was annoyed that he didn't get his hat-trick, possibly angry at McBurnie for not finding him in the box with that cross late on. To me this seemed harsh, as McBurnie did most things right... anyway, I think these extra highlights have answered it.

Watch from 11:50ish. McGoldrick must have said something to him about not playing him in for a one on one after Fleck had just carried it 50 yards up field. Fleck got caught in two minds (& on a hat-trick) fluffed his lines & butchered the opportunity.

McGoldrick, low on confidence, is probably more sensitive than ever about things like this. Really hope he gets his goal soon.

Mcgoldrick has the right to be annoyed but fleck also has the right to try and go alone there for me it's his chance of a hat trick and he had done all the hard work before that. If its 0-0 or 1-0 then yeah that ball should be getting played to mcgoldrick, but when we was 2 up and pretty much cruising to victory fleck has a chance to get his hat trick of course he is going to get caught in 2 minds as would anyone in that position.

The same thing happened in previous game too. Moose nutmegged opposition in the box and fleck had a snapshot when could of slid it to Didzy unmarked a few yards out. Didzy looked unimpressed then as well and Fleck held his hand up to apologise.

A few recent examples of the squad losing a bit of faith in McGoldrick's finishing ability? Or just harmless bad decision making / instinctively seeking goals...

I actually think that, following the Liverpool game, a lot of our players (Fleck in particular) were told to be more ruthless in front of goal. Make a decision & execute it quickly. I say this as since then we've seemed to be a little less shot shy & instances like 'not squaring the ball to McGoldrick' more prominent. Nothing personal to him.

It is a joke McGoldrick's goal got chalked off at Spurs though. I think that would have given him the boost needed and we would have probably won that match as well.

The second phase rule needs tightening up because this weekend the Bournemouth goal got given in a second phase situation no different to Dier heading it out before it came back in.
