we'd be coasting the league serenading the championship with Mexican waves.

But seeing as though promotion looks unlikely at best, which of the following

would add a tinge of gloss to a drab and forgettable season:

  • Wednesday relegated
  • West Ham relegated
  • Leeds throw it away for another season in League One
What is your order of preference?

All of them would be the only thing that would put a slight gloss on us not finishing in the playoffs.

Order of preference be buggered. All three of those happen and Blackwell can have another season for me.

Can see the cheats going down alright. Will be difficult to turn it around in an atmosphere as poisonous as the Boleyn was tonight.

Wendy will probably escape, damn their piggy hides, as Palace seem to have gone into a tailspin since our Neil left.

And the scum? They're wobbling, definitely. If they slip out of the top two over the next couple of games the wheels might well and truly part company with the axles. And that would be the sweetest of all. A little bit of wee might escape.

Fancy a pint of Guinness to celebrate the Spammers impending relegation?

For yuks I'd say Wendy going down. For the triumph of good over evil, I'd say Leeds staying down.

But really not arsed about West Ham. Meh.

I couldn't possibly choose between them!

The most likely of the 3 though I think is West Ham.

I was reading somewhere yesterday about Leeds fans all being in a panic thinking they aren't going to make the play offs so I looked at the league table and noticed they were still 2nd!!!

I think the pigs will scrape through, Palace will continue to slip up and I can see the blue & white scum getting a result against us to stay up.

"The most likely of the 3 is West Ham".

Unfortunately, I think you're right.

From a selfish point of view I think a Burnley side not too dissimilar from the

one that went up joining a bankrupt Hull and Pompey might be our best

chance of promotion next year.

Gold and Sullivan will probably be able to scrape enough coins together for

The Sham to have a strong side for at least a season.

Think westham and wednesday will both survive by the skin of their teeth, :thumbdown:hopefully leeds will blow automatic promotion and cock up in the play offs again:thumbup:

Hibs to win the Scottish Cu - oh

It's got to be Stayyyy-ying Dooooowwwwnnnnn Foreverrrrrrrrr hasn't it?

Whilst I agree that Sham's relegation would probably dent our chances next season, I think I could cope with seeing their lying, cheating, scumbag club relegated finally. Cheats never prosper and I still live in hope that football does even itself out. A Shammers relegation would make me believe that one day we might get what we've deserved for all the bad luck we have taken. Apparently, their fans have let rip tonight at the team. Good. No illegal Argentinian rescue act this time ... Have they still got to play Citeh and Tevez?

Leeds would be funny again. I'd laugh myself stupid after their lead they had back at Christmas!

As for Wendy, they are great entertainment. I think the CHampionship would miss them and their stupid chairman if they went down. Mind you, I'd give anything for them to need a win against us on the 18th and we roll up in the mood to destroy their Piggy dreams ... I do think they'll survive though and it's the least likely of the three.

EDIT: Last day of the season. West Ham United vs. Manchester City. Carlos Tevez winner. Please!!!!!

I'll take that.

For me the measure of a good season is how successful we are. If we got promoted this season it would be a good season, anything less in my book is a nothing season.

Doesn't matter if all three of the above events happen, if the Blades stay down then it is still a crap season.

The demise of all three is like the icing on the cake. It might be nice to look at, but its no good if the cake is stale to start with.

No choice for me. Even though it would still be a shit season, Wendy goin down would make it easier to endure.

Not least because I worry this investment is finally going to come along and so something for them.

Any of the 3 would be hilarious in their own right however my personal order of preference would be...

  • West Ham relegated
  • Leeds throw it away for another season in League One
  • Wednesday relegated

Which may seem odd, probably as a result of being an exile TBH.

WHU going down would probably see them in Administration, hence less of a danger to us than one may think.

In an ideal world a win at the piggery for us would send them down, a hat-trick by Tevez on the last day would send down West Ham and a play-off final defeat at Wembley by Huddersfield would keep the diiirties down where they belong.

The only one I'd be interested in is the scum going down. We just need Palace's form to pick up.

I couldn't care less about West Ham and I don't really get this infatuation with Leeds. I work near Leeds with a bunch of Leeds fans and they really aren't bothered about us, just as I'm not (or "I aren't"??? as the locals say!) about them. They don't look out for our results or take pleasure in us getting beat like a lot of our fans seem to about them. If they get promoted, good stuff, it's potentially at least one match next season with a decent atmosphere, especially if I get my wish and the scum do get relegated.

I can't see West Ham going down. However bad they are, it's hard to see Burnley picking up another 3 points all season!

I agree. The way the bottom three are playing West Ham would stay up without winning another game.
The only thing i used to hate about Leeds were the local news programs always favouring them.
As for the truffle hunters, they can't fall far enough for me.

All of the above won't happen sadly;

- West Ham will stay up by virtue of the fact that Hull and Burnley are shite.

- Wednesday will stay up because Palace have harder remaining games.

- Leeds will push their luck for another couple of weeks but will pull themselves together when Beckford is back.

At the risk of being labelled a pessimist I can't see anything other than what you've said.

Come Armageddon, Come Armageddon, Come!

It would make me so, so happy if West Ham went down. Their chairman said it will spell Armageddon for the club if they got relegated which is good enough for me. I can't believe that Burnley and Hull may have saved their filthy, stinking hide by appointing two such terrible managers. If they'd managed to get say O Driscoll and Coppell instead, I would be very confident in the happy Hammers finally getting their just desserts.

I'd like Wednesday to go down and I still think there's a good chance they will. Don't care about Leeds really.

I also think there's a strong chance that Cardiff will go into administration, leaving us in pole position for the final play-off spot. Blades up, Wednesday down, Hammers extinct. This could still turn out to be the perfect season!

And the majority of Man Yoo supporters couldn't give a flying one about Leeds, but the latter still hate the former with a vengeance.

Not sure what you mean about an infatuation, but of course we reserve a bit of dislike for another big club in the region. What about that is so difficult to comprehend?

Many Ipswich supporters hate us, but we don't see them as rivals. There are such rivalries throughout football; they're not all inclusive of all supporters of a particular club, but they're still there.

Whisper it, but part of our hatred of Leeds is because they're a bigger and more successful club who are closely geographically tied to us. We envy them, but that feeling isn't reciprocated.

*shrug*

They may get better crowds and be more successful, but that's not the reason I hate them. It's purely because they're the antihesis of all things good.

Their history of violence (on and off the pitch), cheating (on and off the pitch) and now financial sharp practice is a uniquely disgusting one.

A pox on them!
