Very true. But for the driver to tell his mate what he’s delivering to where and for whom is a little breach of confidentiality... especially when the mate just posts it on a football forum
He never actually said his mate was the driver. Could be at the depot.

I'm going to order a pair of boots to be delivered to Shirecliffe and put the name Zlatan Ibrahimovich in the delivery box.

Can't wait for that one.

Can we not just arrange for some motivational posters to be delivered to an N. Adkins somewhere underwater in S6?

How people can turn this into a negative is going to be pretty funny and its starting already.

We're not paying him to train with us, we're not committing anything towards that. At one point he was one of the most promising players in England and was given a massive contract by Sunderland. They wanted to get rid but wasn't willing to pay him out of the contract THEY gave him. So he stayed and so he should just like anyone else would in their jobs you're not going to leave because they want you to but don't want to pay to do so. It was entirely sunderland's fault for giving him the deal just like it was United's with Dean Hammond. Footballs an incredibly short career and to save and put aside enough money to retire at an age where in most professions your career is just starting to become stable and bearing fruition isn't possible without making the best of it where you can. What's the statistic 60% of footballers go bankrupt after they retire?

Where did you get this from?

I think what irked fans isn't that he had a large contract, it was that Sunderland were up shit creek, there were a lot of jobs lost and the club asked players if they'd take a cut in their wages. Of course they're entitled to say pissoff, but the majority of players on much smaller contracts agreed, but Rodwell declined.

Just left a bitter taste considering people were losing their jobs over this.

I know someone who's worked with Dean Hammond since he retired from playing. Says hes an spot on bloke, really nice. Hammond even told him he liked it at United, just that the fans never took to him, but that was part and parcel of the industry etc. Held no bad feeling or anything. As for Rodwell, damn right we'd all sit on the money he was on!

I'd enjoy it at any place of work where I was getting an extension and then being paid for it without serving any of it.

It was all seriously shady that gig, Adkins was just sorting an old mate out financially.

Here you go stalker was actually the XPRO article i read but its cited here.

Stalker....very touchy.

"Suggested that as many as 60% of former players."

That could actually mean 10% in all fairness.

I have no idea what the percentage is, but based on the cases we have dealt with at work I would suggest that it is a lot. Some of them have done some very silly things with their money during their career, usually based on very shit advice from various snake oil salesmen.

I bet there are thousands that file for bankruptcy....

But in the grand scheme of things I highly doubt it's as much as 60%.

Not when it’s your job to keep confidential information.

Would it be ok if I worked at your doctors and told people about your ailments?

A name and address on a label is not confidential information
so I see no problem in talking about it.

He was paid off by Sunderland and barely played for Blackburn last year.
There’s no harm in having a look, especially for that RCB role where it’s very unique, but I don’t think he’s got the talent or the character to play for us. We’ll see.

If your job is to deliver, it’s not your job to tell people about it...
A pair of football boots being delivered to a footballer at a football club is hardly going to cause any shockwaves is it.
If it was his house then fair enough

The point is the trust you put into a company and it’s employees. I think you’ve missed that completely.

So as it doesn’t matter, which delivery company was it?

So If the delivery guy tries to deliver a parcel and the house is empty. He goes across the road and says can you sign for this parcel but not look at the address because I'm not supposed to tell anybody who I'm delivering to?

Delivery driver was supposed to deliver to our house. Got a notification saying it had been left in a safe place with an accompanying photograph as proof. Problem was the front door pictured wasn't ours.

Delivery company could track the driver via GPS so they knew where the parcel had been left but they couldn't tell me because "data protection". I was left in limbo as the delivery company's only remedy was to contact the driver and get him to correct his error - which he didn't do.

Fortunately, I'm not an imbicile (unlike the delivery driver!) and I was able to track it down as the road next to ours starts with the same letter and has the same suffix. My parcel was propped up outside the front door of the house on that road with the same number as ours.

I live in a block of flats and came home one day to find several small amazon packages left by the front door. It’s Shepherd’s Bush FFS. So I took them in and delivered them to the various flats before they got nicked. There are some absolute wankers working as delivery drivers (and I used to drive for Parcelforce).

I think the issue Swiss has and it’s not being picked up on is that it’s not where the parcel gets dropped off at but more the point of what’s in the parcel and how that was found out? I know that you could perhaps guess it in this instance but I’m sure that’s the point Swiss is making although I could be wrong, again. 🤷‍♂️🤣

There's a delivery driver for S5 who's going to be sporting a high end pair of boots on Concord Fields this weekend.

I'd find this odd considering Wilders comments about players doing similar to Rodwell.
