I'm done with football

Ridiculous VAR decision.

Shelvey wasn't even trying to score. Even he thought he was offside and put it in for a laugh.

This is the worst one of the lot. It doesn't excuse our shit performance tonight. I'm so angry right now.

I'm only listening on RS. But until VAR was even mentioned, they were saying, he looked up, saw the flag up, and is just wasting time, like they been doing all game - and should be booked.

1 min later 2 nil down.

Incase anyone cares, heres the official "Offside" on the Premier League website..

What happens if you are flagged for offside?

If a player if flagged for offside then play must stop and a free-kick will be rewarded, although sometimes an advantage is played if it is better for the other team not to get a free-kick.

There is no individual punishment for being caught offside and a player will not be issued with a card, no matter how many offsides they commit in a match.

The player must be in the opposing team's half in order to be flagged for offside.

Yeah looks pretty official.

I once saw a player get a second yellow and sent off for cracking the ball into the net after play had stopped (Exeter v Birmingham at St James Park in the early 90s) and fully expected Shelvey to get a yellow for timewasting

In April you were done with this team, that went on to be promoted and is in the top half of the Premier League.

Forgive us if we take your projected absence with a pinch of salt and a lot of apathy...
What is football without emotion?...let the guy vent...it’s a frustrating evening and we’re all feeling it. A little hissy fit on here has saved my cat a kick or two this evening...and the wee beastie hasn’t done anything to deserve such treatment

i can handle losing i support United ive seen plenty of times. but when that goal was given i just wanted to leave because we spent so much time & money, take time off work, sit in the freezing cold . & in return we get shafted & we are suppose to accept it. how anyone who as ever watched a game think a ball that wasnt active is allowed to be given is beyond me. & also im sick of watching a match & VAR cock ups being the overbearing topics

i said it at the time. if thats the future lets pack up & go home. what's the point. football is dead, this is its funeral. ill say it currently im jealous of Wednesday. they are watching football as it should be played

I honestly thought when the ref went up to him he was going to pull a yellow out.

VAR is going to relegate somebody this season with instances lke this.

That’s exactly what he was doing mate, it wasn’t any easier on the eye, trust me, fans wanted him booked for time wasting

I’m calling the RSPCA. What’s your address? :)

We usually get stitched up like this in a much more pivotal part of the season, that's about only positive I can take from this shambles of VAR fuckwittery

A farce...pundits all over the place saying play to the whistle.

How do you ignore it when the linesman at the halfway line puts his flag up? It’s dead easy to ignore it and put the ball in the net when you’re the attacker but much less easy as a defender.

I don't like Shelvey as a character but I give him credit for putting the ball in the net; I am sure he knew what he was doing, he tapped his head as he ran back, he wasn’t only time wasting, he knew there was a chance a goal would be given.

The problem tonight was that incompetent Lino. He didn’t just get raising his flag wrong, he was overruled by the ref a few times.
