Some beautiful crisp passing played at speed and intensity, absolutely bossing possesion but a lack of clear chances due to how deep and defensive newcastle are playing.

Would be worth smashing some efforts in from in and around the box - it only takes a deflection for it to wrong foot the keeper, win a corner or drop to sharps feet.

How are they biased?

Every time waddle opens his trap it’s to talk about Newcastle. How well they are defending etc. How they are playing well.
If he mentions us at all it’s still focused on them. Eg ‘The problem with Norwood is ..’.
No he’s not a problem from our point of view, he’s a solution.
We just need someone impartial. It’s ridiculous having an ex pig and a Geordie holding forth from their point of view all the time.

Poor balls in, but I think Sharp and McBurnie have played well together. Need a 10 though, too many times they're receiving the ball with their back to goal and having to run out with it or pass it away.

A few players just sort of having an average night though, but I suppose you can't expect full tilt performances every game. Midfield is a bit flat.

Need to come out with a bit more confidence, play it quicker, run at them.

Somehow they managed to spend half-time solely discussing the team that had 25% possession and one meaningful effort on goal. What the fuck is this shit. Is there a high density of Prime members in the north east that needing pandering to?

I dont think we are playing bad, this is the first time a team has sit this deep against us, their tactics are spot on. Moussett or didzy i dont think will help as much as normal as they need the space to run in behind - these lot are so deep their is no space behind.

Fingers crossed we can get an equaliser and push on for a win

We've not been found out. We're up against a team who have no intention of leaving their half. Even the best teams struggle to beat teams that do that.

The only way to get back into the game is set pieces, and ours are shit. Either that or stop playing pretty passing and run at them with the ball, force them to foul you to get a set piece.

We've not been found out, we're just not being smart enough.

As soon as that goal went in I told my Mrs that it's game over and we'll get nothing from this match. I stand by that now. I'm not being pessimistic but I've seen nothing from us to show that we can break them down. I'd seen nothing before they scored to convince me that we can open them up.

We're too slow hitting them on the break and helping them get back, our crosses have been poor and the set pieces have been poor overall.

If you are watching directly through amazon I recommend switching it to just crowd atmosphere, without commentary. I had to in order to avoid throw my pint glass through the TV screen.

Hendo was pointing to the flag and not trying, you say play to the whistle yeah, but it's not like he's assumed he was off and not bothered, everyone looked at the linesman. Keep your flag down and go to VAR do be sure and put it up.

All season we've looked like a Premier League team. Tonight we've looked like a Championship team. Absolute crap tonight with the worst part being that we knew Bruce would do this. We knew he would come and park the bus for 90 minutes and we look devoid of all ideas and surprised by it. That's the part that's pissed me off the most. We saw this coming all week and didn't plan for it. We could play into Christmas Day and not score tonight.

I don't normally let results get to me but this one has irritated me because I saw it coming as soon as Newcastle scored the first goal.

This team owes us a HUGE performance against Norwich and another draw is simply not acceptable. We've only won one in six now and have tossed away too many results.
