Souness should appreciate the way we play because our midfield epitomize everything that his game was all about.We have a midfield that are combative,clever,skillful,aggressive and contribute there fair share of goals.....that sounds exactly like a description of Graeme Souness,in fairness he was a very,very good player.

I'd like to sit with him and listen to his well-researched and knowledgeable offerings about our basic playing style, preferably with his distended nutsack rolling round underneath the heel of my right workboot. It's not a baseless moan, it's hugely unprofessional behavior and makes their viewpoint entirely pointless.
If you're on TV (or radio in DMs case), to give a professional opinion I think you should be bring something to the table.
Mills was asked to do a pre-season assessment and clearly hadn't seen us, so how does his opinion have any value, and consequently why should anyone give a shit, it's no more informed that any random person you could ask?
Sourness was the same, if he was on the show to talk about Sheffield United and our opponents, as he was, he should have at least taken a couple of hours to watch a couple of games. Now he wants a season ticket despite the fact a good number of our own fans can't get them because he's bothered to watch a game or two.

Good pundits know what they are talking about and give you insight into something you're possibly unaware of.
If they've not done any homework then they may as well not be there at all but, particularly with the ex-professional footballers, they seem to think we're fascinated by what they have to say just because they played 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago.

I can just about make peace with the Sky Super Sunday pundits only being focused on the big 6 as that is pretty much what they were hired for. Most of the Sunday games usually involve those clubs.

It is the other pundits in elsewhere such as Lawrenson and Crooks etc who are pundits that are meant to cover the entire division yet talk utter bollocks. Worst still in the case of Crooks and Lawro as they are paid for with licence fee money but somehow manage to do next to fuck all research into most of the clubs they talk about.
