So ROI have now got to qualify via playoffs, that would see Egan, Didzy, Ends and possibly Robbo at the Euros, same with Fleck and Scotland.

Got me thinking, realistically could any of our lads get picked?
JOC
Moose

If these two keep up performances and perhaps of Moose starts netting more frequently there's a good chance they could go IMO.

I'd be shocked if Moose ever gets in the French squad. Then again Giroud has 97 caps and 39 goals and Moussa Sissoko 62 caps 2 goals. Amazing they're going to be looked on as key players in arguably the powerhouse of a generation.

I think given the right nurturing and if he stays fit he could become an outstanding player.

He's a player that requires very careful man management as I feel confidence is key to his game.

The way Moose ran straight to Wilder after he scored against Arsenal told me everything. Wilder is nurturing him and the Moose is in a good place. The way Wilder calmly pushed him back towards the pitch said it all too .................. "We haven't won yet Moose, leave the hugging till after the game; now go do your job!"

Moose is getting stronger and stronger, I can see him being a top player in a couple of seasons if he carries on.

Its not that I think he's lacking talent, just you need to be either world class or high profile to make that squad. If the likes of Man United come knocking for him then he's probably close to the squad but not sure that'll happen within the next 6 months. In fairness he's only 23 so he does have time on his side for further into the future.

Moose would need to have one heck of a season before he gets in that squad. At the minute, for the number 9 role (of which they play one) he's behind (at least):
  • Giroud
  • Martial
  • Lacazette
  • Ben Yedder
  • Griezmann (has played centrally a bit for Barcelona)
  • Sebastien Haller
  • Moussa Dembele (Lyon)
  • Alassane Plea (Monchengladbach)
  • Marcus Thuram (also Monchengladbach)

If he gets past these, there's also Maupay and Odsonne Edouard at Celtic. He's quite possibly ahead of both now, but depends on the season they have.

Bearing in mind they'll take three max, he's got some work to do. Not impossible, and he's got the attributes, but France are the world's best team
