If we stay up and establish ourselves which I'm sure most of us are pretty confident we will do then it would be a bit of a sideways move if he went to Everton.

Everton are midtable season in season out and thats what SUFC will be at worst under Wilder & Knill.

The only hope of getting him is if they and probably can out-do us in wages offered to him unless we offer him a new & improved contract ourselves.

Personally though if I were him I'd stay here and hold out until one of the giant clubs come in for him as he's undoubtedly got the talent to play for one of them.

We will finish several places above Everton and in all likelihood every player who is staying with us will see another substantial pay increase.

He will be captain next season.
