I’ll go first... Henri Camara. Had massive hopes for him when he signed for us. Think it was only 4 goals he ended up scoring?

Any others?

Most of my expectation was based on Football Manager, but I expected Luton Shelton to be brilliant. Turns out he was just really fucking fast.

Other notable inclusions based on my expectations of them turning up and being good;
- Hai Hao Dong (The Chinese Alan Shearer)
- Michael Twiss
- Ahmed Fathy
- Ben Woodman

Who's that one that plays for us now, who used to work for McD's, never delivered the ferking burger on time...what a waste of money....
👀 👀

Ben Woodburn recently has to be the worst of the lot.

Was it Norwich fans who were crying over him not going there? He was pretty shite at everything but holding the ball in the corner towards the end of the QPR away game.

Didn't seem to be able to kick a ball further than 25 yards.

Went back to Liverpool and was on the bench in a Champions League final, now at Oxford and I imagine will be released by Liverpool at the end of his contract and hang around relegated Prem teams in the Championship hoping someone still thinks he's worth £35k a week or whatever.

I’ll get this one in before everyone wakes up in the morning. John Ebbrell from Everton.

Cheers John that 45 first half minutes kicking towards the lane end will live in my memory for ever. Outstanding value for money

I saw Ebbrell's golden 45 minutes too! We were so excited to have signed him at the time weren't we? He wor famous like and he'd been on our telly! 45 minutes later he was no more. Gone. Off into the hall of legends, for being the shortest serving player ever. (Watch SilentBlade come back now with some facts about a player called Herbert Foreskin from the 1897 season who only played for 37 minutes). ;)

When we signed him, I thought we’d be unstoppable. He seemed like the final peice of the jigsaw. He’d always seemed deadly against us, and ended up being such a let down.
What was the exact story behind it? Never really known what it was so short-lived. Fell out with Warnock?

This thread could be longer than the Twats, the lot of ‘em thread.

John Brayford (mk ii)

And now he's got a bigger challenge with McBurnie!

McBurnie has already scored more, and done more than Woodburn.

Woodburn was so disappointing I almost forget he was here. Honestly thought we'd signed a 10/15 goal Brooks replacement on loan and pocketed £12m, thought we'd played a blinder.

What was the story of him leaving the Lane again, I can't remember.

I am going to cause controversy here. But, I am going to say...

Ched Evans

Record signing in the Championship, didn't live up to the hype in that division, lack of goals helped us get relegated. Had a great season in League One until you know what happened... but we didn't spend millions on him to be great in League One. Did nothing once resigned (which seemed to be a McCabe thing).

I don't wish him ill-will. But I am glad we've moved on.
