Firstly, this isn't a thread having a whinge or necessarily criticizing our defence. More just a general comment on the goals we've let in this season.
We have one of the best defences in the country and clearly one of the tightest, but the odd thing is that many of the few goals we've let in this season have been genuine mistakes, mix-ups, clangers etc.
The obvious one against Liverpool, but also both of the goals against Chelsea and yesterday against Spurs. Arguably Southampton's goal was the result of a mix-up too.
Is it a measure of how we play? Maybe we're still a bit nervy on the bigger stage? Ultimately, without these errors (and again, it's not a criticism) we could have more points on the board and even less goals conceded.
I genuinely believe our defence is even better than what the stats show.
