Just wondering. I've seen Gordon Banks and Martin Peters, so I presume most of the "66 team would have appeared at some stage? Ardiles and Villa?

Bastian Schweinsteiger played in the FA Cup Game in 2016. Won the world cup with Germany in 2014.

Sergio Romero was on the bench, in goal for Argentina in the same final.

Henry? Sure they were a few others last time we were in the prem.

That was at old Trafford, not bramall lane

All of the England 1966 squad (I have not seen Cohen, Wilson, Armfield, Byrne, Flowers, Springett and Connelly) Roger Hunt was the first I saw when Blades played Bolton in March 1970. Passarella, Luque, Fillol and Ortiz played at the Lane for River Plate not long after Argentina won the 1978 World Cup. Alonso also played in the fixture but didnt play in the World Cup final.

Roque Junior. Sure he played for Leeds against us in that 2003 FA cup 1/4 final.

I've seen, Moore, Hurst, Peter, Cohen and Springett ...... apparently

Dont remember em :)

yeah it was tough, I could think of many euros winner but not many world cup winners but i believe Patrick Vieira & Cesc Fabregas from 2005 fa cup replay

Two other World Cup winning captains to play at the Lane Didier Deschamps for Chelsea pre-season friendly 1999 (or maybe 2000) and Lothar Matthaus played at the Lane for West Germany v England, Euro under 21 final either 82 or 84 (v Spain was the other final), obviously he went onto lift the trophy with Germany in 1990.

Can we have Bradman as well, Ashes winning captain for the invincibles in 1948, played at the Lane many times for the Aussies v Yorkshire.

I'd also suspect Clive LLoyd world cup winning captain for the Windies in 1975 would have played for the West Indies v Yorkshire at the Lane in 1969 and probably for Lancashire in the Roses match here. in the late 60s early 70s.

Don't think Henry has ever played at Bramall Lane unless he turned out in a cup game? Thought he might have played in the 2005 FA Cup one but no.

Give it a few months and David Silva, Pedro and Juan Mata can probably be added to the list too.
