Our transfer business has been nothing short of brilliant since CW walked through the door.

If someone goes he'll get what he values them at and bring in a suitable replacement. He'll have planned for these contingencies.

Also on a slightly different point I don't think I've ever seen a more effective manager when it comes to recruits. Loads of managers stay loyal to their own players they buy in sometimes to a fault but the beauty with CW is if he's made a mistake or if the player doesn't take their opportunity then he's gone.

Look at Leonard, Evans, Thomas, that left back in league 1 etc...

He could have easily persevered but he acted brilliantly, flipped Leonard for a profit and used Evans money to bring in Olly fucking Norward.

Equally if he sees something in you he doesn't mind you taking time to find yourself or develop aka Lunny. I can't wait to see how Kean Bryan turns out as obviously CW sees something in him.

All in all I'm just buzzing

Wonder what he'll do in January with us pushing for a top 6 place.

Or come the second half of the season, these lads are up to speed on our tactics and up to fitness levels expected in the Prem and showing what they need to show in training, we'll see a lot more of them.

It's a marathon not a sprint etc...

Do you? Alternatively you could recognise that it’s a squad game and we’ve recruited them for what they can do over three years, not for three months.

Yeh good post and spot on. You’re certainly right that he’s not a ‘jobs for the boys’ type, like Warnock used to be with Kenny, Derry etc
 



We also need cover for injuries and suspensions. Look at Norwich who have 3 or 4 first choice players out. I’ve been impressed with LF. Looks good enough to me. Jury still out on Robinson and McB for me. Billy has done alright when he’s come on as sub but doesn’t look to me like he’s actually made the step up like the others have. We are very short of cover in back 3 and wing backs. Stearman seems to be behind Jags in pecking order. Do we move him on in Jan get a younger up grade? As others have said CW will have a plan I am sure.

They wernt guaranteed a start and have to fight for a shirt
How can Wilder change it at this stage with all last seasons players doing really well.
As Wilder says if they get a start or cameo appearance the player has to do the business ,its the only way to keep players on there toes and maintain moral amongst the group.

I mean, one of our summer recruits assisted all 3 goals yesterday as we moved into 6th place in the premier league, but yeah - you do have to wonder if the recruitment has been a success...
 
One point of the match yesterday we had our 11 players from last season! The new signings haven't really been needed apart from the strikers.

Do we know if Norwich injured players are expected to still be out when we play them ?
 
No misunderstand me, I’m absolutely delighted the last seasons team have stepped up to the plate and are keeping £32m worth of talent on the touchline. I’m also thrilled that our supposed “gamble” (Mousset) seems to be the best signing of the summer.

perhaps their very presence has pushed others onto even better performances, with us sixth in the league i’m not sure how you can bring yourself to criticise the management team.

Criticise the management team.....really?? Chris will be as disappointed as anyone how Robinson and McBurnie haven’t hit the ground running. As I suspect neither of them were bought as bench warmers.
Freeman’s situation is slightly different because our midfield haven’t really put a foot wrong.
As for Mousset, he has the obvious potential to be an absolute super star.
