Tonight we are (again) higher in the Premier League than our illustrious neighbours are in La Liga.

This might be cause for celebration ... were it not for the fact that "not one of Utd's players would get in Wednesday's team".

Despite this obvious truth, I suggest we are enjoying great days. Fabulous, great days!

Listening to Gary Monk on the radio post match. Just comes out with all the old cliches even though their fans are phoning in to say they were rubbish. Absolute bullshit.

If we'd gone to Blackburn, played crap and lost Wilder would have been telling the radio, the TV, the players and the fans exactly how it was.

Think people want to see performances we can believe in. A team to be proud of. Abit of excitement when tickets go on sale etc..

To be fair most of them are as shocked as we are at the op
i watched the pigs v Cardiff and though Cardiff were awful I thought borner and iorfa looked decent and iorfa looks like one to watch
A lot of unfulfilled potential there .but I guess there is a reason he hadn't found a home yet

Yep, fair enough, but there's still comments like "I'd rather have Iorfa than Keane" based on that performance for England. I'll always say that football supporters are generally very similar personality wise and I think that holds for us vs. our blue and white cousins.

BUT, they can be incredibly myopic and self-absorbed. Certainly more so than us. I reckon at least half of them still think Iorfa, Borner, Lees et al are better than our defence.

It was with me and my mate a couple of weeks ago
He caved in the end though ,I just don't get what they see in him
I told my mate that him and foristieri are overrated and that when I saw there names in the team sheet against us I was glad as I knew they would do fuck all
He was incredulous when I told him I thought foristieri was a one in ten games player and that bannan was good against teams that give him time and space but ordinary when up against better players ( like ours )

Iorfa does look fairly decent for them to be fair. That said so did Hector last season.

Au contraire. There were a couple of hilariously pissed off travelling porkers on Praise or Grunter while we were driving back after the game. (They both claimed to have been at Ewood, anyhow).

One of them, at least, felt that Wednesday’s inability to win against top half teams like Blackburn was because of the widely acknowledged (in S6) refs’ conspiracy against them.

Properly classy Sheffield double yesterday.
