One more reason to be happy about supporting United this season. Though good v Liverpool if my memory is correct atmosphere is still not as electric/ loud as in previous prem and previous prem promotion seasons. Getting there ⚔
You on something iffy? Wot a loadda bollox.

Agreed it’s getting there but not at that level yet.

I agree with him. It isn't. Discussed on here to death over the past year or so. G&H blocks on the South Stand are no longer the same since it was sanitised years ago. The kop is disjointed in its support. That's not to say the kop isn't noisy, it is, but the groups at the back sing their own songs during the game so the noise gets diluted. That never used to happen to the degree it does now. But the atmosphere is still good enough to be better than most grounds as born out by away fan's experiences at the Lane.

It's still no where near the level it was at the last time we were in the Prem. As a comparison, The atmosphere at last weeks Arsenal game, although pretty good wasn't a patch on how it was in the last prem league game against them.

Everyday it seems the pond life at S6 take another huge hit. Now this.

Alongside their desperate “United will fail/Wilder will leave” claims, even though now in the play off places, their dream of world football domination now seems half hearted, even on PorkTalk, where apart from the utterly deluded, there a melancholy about the place which is seeping through their every pore.

it’s a joy to see.....

Are we sure we aren't all getting a bit misty eyed about the good old days?

Not saying anyone is wrong, and it could well have been better in previous seasons.

However I'm sure we've all had that glass shattering moment where you go back to something from your past that you used to think was brilliant, only to find out it was pretty crap in hindsight... 🤷‍♂️

The number of votes indicates this is a cumulative historical vote over a long period of time

You're absolutely right. There's the old saying;

"The older you get, the better it was"

The atmosphere at the Lane is as good as its ever been. I think the missing ingredient is hostility but half the stuff that went on 15 years ago would get you chucked out these days.

Views, Tony Kenworthy’s toe? We know you're on, you always are.

This a thread about the Premier League's best atmosphere, not some dickheads attacking fans.
If that's what you want to talk about you'll find plenty of instances of you're fans doing it to others at your shit hole.
Post about it on Porktalk though.

Atmosphere significantly less loud and hostile than last time round. G and H is just not what it was and anyone who thinks that is memory playing tricks is just wrong. Kop seems to be singing at least 2 different songs at the same time and several of the current songs are more background music (McBurnie song) than full on crescendo 'United,,United' type songs.

Having said that the sanitisation of football generally and new breed of fan means the atmosphere has dropped off everywhere and at most grounds more so than ours making the Lane still a relatively great place to watch football but lets not kid ourselves it is the Lane of old (though some would say that's a good thing).

It has stemmed from a fans view of attending games, that‘s all the Norwich fan was doing before he was classily attached from behind

Whereas Wednesday fans are all well behaved, aren't they? Every club has it's dickheads.

Aren't you firmly enough ensconced in our shadow without the need to find shelter from your own insecurities over here? Or is it because the comforting warmth of Tango's planetary mass has been so cruelly taken away?

Exactly.

Some can't grasp that whilst the Lane isn't as hostile as it was when the West Terrace was going, or G and H block in the 90s early 2000s, it's still a damn sight better than most despite the carping by a few about how shit we are.

Times have changed. Everywhere.

What about the 12 man attack on the train, led by the OCS convicted rapist from Barnsley, all 12 being jailed?
