Not really, but the Cowley brothers were taking Lincoln on their own 'rags to riches' journey but then fucked off with nary a backward glance - something I can't see CW doing.

Wednesdayites should have realised what Bruce would do, but were too thick to see it.
The Cowley bros were school teachers, they haven't earned a fortune by being in football for 40 years like Bruce and they both have very young families. They left Lincoln with a very heavy heart after turning down plenty of other offers. There's not a single Lincoln fan who holds it against them. They are all very grateful for what they did for their club.

Comparing Chris's 40-odd year association with United, fan, ballboy, player, manager with a 2-year stint at Northampton makes where his loyalties lie pretty obvious.

If and when the time is right for CW to leave, I have no doubt that he will leave. He is a blade, but he is also highly ambitious. He also believes in his ability to manage at the very, very top level in the game and at 52 yrs of age, he is more than aware of his longevity.

I would also say that United can do a lot to secure his future in many respects by backing him financially both in wages & purchases, not interfering with his management and improving the infrastructure. If we survive this season, and with the right backing when asked for, CW can move us up to a team that can be competing for 5th and 6th place within 5 years. If it can be done at Leicester with lesser tools, then there is no reason that we can't do it.

Why would Everton pick Wilder over someone like Howe IF they're looking for an English option? Why not Dyche?
This is clearly bollocks.

Pretty sure we would've heard this first if there was anything to it?

Pardon my ignorance but just what is this thing with CW & Neverton, he's never played for them, comes from Shiny and a Blade struggle to find a connection.

He has said Everton is the only club he would leave us for. But it won't be this summer not for a few years yet.
So he’d turn down Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Barca, Real, Juve, Bayern?

Why would he go to Everton when the man utd job is going to be up for grabs in a few weeks. Everton seems to be like the pigs in that the fans think they are a top club but they have been gash for 20 years

Wider has is dream job already. He must have been happy with his new deal to sign it so recently.
How many clubs have a manager who is allowed to manage? How many have a supportive owner who seems happy to be the silent partner, basking in Wilders success?
How many PL clubs insist on a director of football having the last word? How many owners lack patience, and give unqualified support when a result goes against them?
Sheffield United is his club. He will continue to build it in his own image and his own style.

As to the future, perhaps Klopp will move on to a new challenge in 10 years time. Southgate might retire in the same period and Wilder will be able to choose.

Sheffield United. Liverpool. England.

Going to Liverpool in ten years time will be two steps backwards.

Done a graph to show the chances of Wilder going to Everton to save you the trouble.

Yes Wilder was close to Macabe, but to be honest it was the Prince who authorised the signing of Mcburnie. Macabe didn't think he was worth it. Wilder wanted him. Wilder is more likely to move to Manchester United than Everton.

Why are we trying to flog Wilder he is happy here doing his dream job ,with a lot more to do.
Only 2 ways he will go ::
1 : Interference from the owners and lack of support..
2 :: Things go pear shaped and he resigns before he gets sack ,could also say he took us as far as he could and would resign to give some else the chance. Bassett did this when he realised he was losing it.
Things change and no one knows what's round the corner but Wilder istruly focused on getting us stabilised in the premiership,
job not finished then anyway we need to win a trophy or two.
All my opinion of course !!.

Yes, can someone provide chapter and verse? It seems to have become an established fact, but no one, so far, seems able to confirm where Wilder said this.
Porkie infiltration methinks.

Sheffield’s most famous, yet least successful musician has got in on the act tonight.

There will soon be a vacancy at Everton but, I don't see CW filling it why leave United at a time he is trying to build an empire for the future. I love to hear it from him and the Prince about building for future as for last 50 odd years we've had meaningless guff off liars, I certainly hope we do go on to better heights.

To be honest, if/when CW does leave Utd, Everton are one of only a few clubs I could see him going to. They are a club I think he could relate to and fit in well at, particularly with their fanbase.

That said, i can't see him going anytime soon. As long as Utd match (or stay close to) his ambition, I'm sure he'll stay.

Don't rule out him flirting with them in order to secure better terms at Utd though. He's already done it twice and I'm sure he'd fo it again.

If I was going to have a bet on his next club though I'd actually go for Man Utd once he's established Utd as a Prem club and consistently pushing for a top half/8 finish.
