Not sure why I referred to it as the Bridge Inn. Of course it was the Lady's Bridge Hotel, later, The Brewer on the Bridge.
There used to be a Bridge Inn opposite the brewery on the corner of Castle Green (below Hen & Chickens) & Bridge Strret, a Tetley pub

Last landlord to have it was an Irishman John Kelly

John Kelly who had the Dog & Partridge on Trippet Lane?

March 1967 FA Cup 5th round. Blades players complained that other clubs travel to away matches by coach rather than by train. After that, the club made a decision that the players would go by coach to away matches.

They got “Coach” Cec Coldwell to taken them in his Bedford Dormobile camper van?

I did a similar thing in the Frog and Parrot. Couple of pints of Reckless, felt OK. Then someone suggested a Roger and Out weshed down with another Reckless. I managed to carry on drinking through the night but it’s as pissed as I’ve ever been and I could remember very little of the rest of the night.
Good stuff! Wasn't it brewed in a micro brewery in the cellar? I vaguely remember a glass panel in the floor where you could observe the brewery. Or was I imagining it or pissed?
