Liverpool tickets still on sale

Call me stupid - but do people sit there and count how many tickets left or is there a way of finding this out quickly?

Who knows what ticket you'll be given if you phone up the ticket office & ask for one. Or if you want 3 together you don't have much choice, it would have to have been Restricted Views...
I’m pretty sure the TO tell you if it’s RS. They’ve been on sale since last Friday so if there were three of you it would make sense to get them early to ensure you’re together.

The ticketing policy hasn’t been great and it’s been discussed at length. I’m sure it’s always going to be possible to come up with contrived reasons to have a little dig at the club but it gets a bit tedious having to read it.

Edit: apologies, see below.

I don't care,i'll be there, just as i have been since 1959.How many of those on Saturday will still be going in sixty years time ?

Probably not me because if I'm alive I'll be 95, I'll have lost my marbles and be pissing and shitting via a tube. I'll be a huge burden to society and a bigger burden to my kids and probably their kids as well.

Calm down smart arse .Just going on what I have heard. No need to be a clever twat with fellow blades is there ?
No need to exaggerate when the actual numbers are on the thread. You could have just asked ‘do you think it will sell out?’ without commenting on how many had been sold, as when you do that and exaggerate the number of unsold, it gives the impression that you’ve got an agenda.

Been on twitter and FB last couple of days and there are people who are complaining because they couldn't get tickets as they believe they have sold out, I have just been to ticket office, well earlier, and there are still tickets left in John Street, Kop corner, and Kop, and checking online not too many at 247 left but this raises two points. Firstly why do people moan about not being able to get tickets as they've sold out when they clearly haven't, and secondly I feel the sales for our best match of the season so far are moving extremely slowly.
Why do you think the slowness of sales is, it cannot be how we are playing as we are on 8 points out of 18, that equates to 50.66 points over season if we can keep this up, which is great for our first season back, we play attractive football, the court case is over and the Prince speaks positively (unless McCabe meddles again), the feel good feeling is everywhere, so what is it.
248 tickets left all in RV seats. S S of P.

If the club carries on with its bizarre approach to selling tickets and pricing structure then maybe the next logical step is to give all BL end to away fans (or at least another 2k if we can segregate).
Def need to look at away capacity if we stay up, lose the novelty factor and if we sneak prices up a bit or we will be looking at gates regularly below capacity.
Or we could just admit we have got a few things wrong and start to get dynamic in attracting more fans and capacity crowds like every other promoted team does.

Few hundred or couple of hundred .Does it really matter.Agenda ? Wft are you actually going on about pal.

There are still tickets left and some are not rv, but I think that all tickets that are rv should be cheaper, but that would make half of kop rv.

How do you know what every other promoted club has done? I know they made mistakes with the first match but they have put it right and anyone who went to blackburn game and has a Sunderland ticket could go against Liverpool.

People using the ticket issues to have a dig at the club and pigs coming on here trying to take the piss because we ‘can’t sell out.’

And no, I’m not calling you a pig.

No matter how good the opposition are, Sheffield United fans who are prepared to get off their arse and pay £40+ for a ticket don't just magically appear out of thin air.

Especially when it's a 12:30 kick off and is live on TV.

A lot of people have a hard time understanding this.

Thanks for answering, I wasn't arguing just asking the question.

You have got me all wrong if you think I would have a dig at my own club for something so pathetic as ticket sales.Have a good day.

Sorry,it was my stupid analogy.I'm only 69,i drink as much beer as i can afford and am as argumentative and irritable as my family and friends can tolerate. If by some fluke i am still alive when i'm 95 i'm sure i will be in the same state as you !!

Fair enough but if you read the threads on tickets, you’ll see where I’m coming from.

It’s a forum, written word only so when someone says ‘a few hundred’ it sounds like they’re talking it up, as opposed to ‘a couple of hundred’ which sounds like talking it down, or being realistic. And there’s no other way of knowing what that person meant as you don’t hear the tone of their voice or see their expressions.

And I don’t live in Sheffield so sometimes forget that a lot of Blades will have to put up with ‘couldn’t even sell out for Liverpool’ from the fat obnoxious pig with BO that they have to work with.

Fair enough it’s a misunderstanding then .And for the record I’m also a blade who lives outside the city now.Lived in the north west for seven years.

Brilliant, just got tickets for two family members who don't normally go. I told them at the weekend that it would probably be impossible to get tickets, so they are well chuffed, and really looking forward to it. Though they haven't seen the view yet!

Not sure if you’re on the wind up. We’ve already sold over 31,000 tickets, come the day of the match should be close to 32,000
So it will be a sell out or very close to one
and that’s with proper Blades buying tickets, hardly any neutrals, students, glory hunters or Liverpool admirers swelling the ticket sales.

If we give away fan the top tier then we instantly lose 900 seats (based on the 2007 season) for segregation.
So we would be lowering the capacity and preventing 2,000 proper Blades from attending.

The current strict ticketing restrictions demonstrate that our current 32K capacity with 2.7K to away fans is about perfect.
The issue relates to stadium expansion.....unless we relax the ticketing rules or give away fans more tickets then we don’t need a 40K stadium.

My mate travels 320 miles there and 320 miles back to watch the Blades....not when it’s on TV, why because it costs him his ticket his kids tickets plus food while away oh and around £100 in fuel so if it’s on TV you can’t blame him AND there are many like him and his family that’s why ticket sales are slower when the game is on TV

M T P and R, just fuck of back to S6. Porktalk thataway >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Assuming capacity is around 30k, If United's capacity was less at 25k or more at 35k they would still be in the situation of struggling to sell those remaining restricted view tickets. Anyone who forks out £40-45 to only be able to see half the game has more money than sense and the club wants fucking for trying it on.

You are a rather silly boy, what is the point of meaningful debate when school children enter the fray?

I believe it is called 'humour'. The cats thing has been a running 'joke' for at least 4 or 5 years. Just because you don't get it, isn t a reason to talk down to someone.

Maybe try and get the board vibe a bit more, before going all 'headmaster' on long standing contributors?

Just a thought....

I'll never forget when we played Liverpool at home in the Prem in 2007, some lass walked passed us and sat down in H Block, took her coat off and sat there as proud as punch resplendent in her Liverpool shirt.

Luckily for her there weren't many in at that point, most of the H Block regulars were still doing what they do pre-match. A steward politely advised to cover it up, or leave, unless she had a death wish!

Still, a lot of the these casual Liverpool supporters from no where near Merseyside have absolutely no idea or sense when it comes to where to sit and how to act. So in this instance I'm with the club. After all, it doesn't take many matches to build up to 300 points!

It’s sad that someone can’t wear a shirt for fear of assault, verbal or otherwise. But you have a point about the club’s caution.

I also remember seeing a few little kids in the South Stand wearing Man U shirts when we played them that season. Slightly naive parenting...
