Doesnt matter if he was still here he wouldnt of been on the pitch for us today.

So what? He's still shit hence why Swansea are the lowest scoring team in the league.

So shite they are above us with a better goal difference (albeit only a couple) and they play football on a budget far lower than ours.
Cotts was one of our most creative players who could unlock teams. He is not a defensive player so it's up to the manager to set up a midfield that has the right balance of grit and flair. Ours has neither

Totally agree kenilworth. It's scary to look at the team and see only Jamie ward that has a modicum of creativity.

i also see Sharp scored and Howard did

more players Blackwell shipped out after falling out with them.

whats up with Harper not even on the bench ?

I have tried to defend Blackwell as is would appear he is doing his job with the hindrance of players being sold on with little funds to replace them. That said he has had money and produced the square root of fuck all with it. He manages to turn players who perform well at other clubs into headless donkeys. If rumours are to be believed (yes they are only rumours but perhaps there is some semblance of truth there) he manages to piss off and alienate half the squad.

I know it was his first home start and technically he got an assist, but Yeates was absolutely woeful yesterday. I know Cotterill divides opinions but he was surely a better bet than Yeates.

we have a perfectly decent set of players.. all this stuff about injuries and loans is a smoke screen.. whilst ever blackwell insists on playing the dream team (monty quinn and henderson) and putting all of the other players in the wrong holes to accomodate them we will stagnate.. they are the most inept bunch of crap i have ever seen in a united shirt.. and from someone who witnessed bourne butlin and len de gooey in their pomp(?) that is some statement believe me..

I'd imagine fielding a different defence every week is just a smokescreen :)

There are plenty of failings, but it is totally unfair to disregard the effect of injuries.

It wouldn't be unfair to disregard that he knew there was a possibility that walker might have had to go back, or that by not making a CB signing in the championship window, he has left the squad dangerously thin on the ground.

Very unlucky with morgan, but that's what a good squad is for. We're continually told we have the fourth highest wage bill in the championship, but it's patently obvious we don't have the fourth best squad.

all of these problems stem from the signings made/not made at the end of the last transfer window.. a lot of us (rightly at the time but it gives me no pleasure to say so) pointed out that the squad was left threadbare especially at the back.. the whole point of having squad players is that they get used to the methods in case they are required.. you can't do what we do and get a defender friday and throw them into the first team saturday.. that is poor management
there were never that many injuries to first teamers anyway..i've never bought that excuse.. all of the injuries were mainly to loanees who came.. played one game.. got their signing on fee and promptly got injured for the rest of the loan period.. hendersons injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise..
as for the current defence debacle.. this stems from the current transfer window, kyle w.is recalled at the last minute.. (interesting rumours about a fall out here too).. kyle n. didn't want to come back here at all (due to the way he was forced to go to spurs when he wanted to go to everton) we have two perfectly good academy fullbacks ready to step up to the plate.. apparently he has fallen out with geary (again)..
there have been setbacks ok.. but the job of the manager is to manage these situations. that is his job. when the ship is steaming well then anyone can do it..

I'm not denying that we should have had a stronger squad. I'm merely saying that despite any failure to plan adequately, despite anything being overlooked and ignored, we have been incredibly unlucky with injuries and it's a bit unfair to say that they are simply a smokescreen and disregard them.

Every single time it looks like we've made a positive move, we've been hit with another problem.

May well not be a smokescreen but neither that or injuries can be blamed for the total lack of method or ideas in the attacking third of the pitch.

I can undertand it for not marking people properly etc, but our midfiled and forward play has been rubbish most of the season..

Its all just excuses for a man out of his depth with no idea.
