You really believe that? Which injuries? Its not bullshit and it clearly shows from some the players.
He is also is using injuries I think to cover up any fallouts within the team.
all these rumours about falling out with players & players not wanting to play to his tactics.
surely its not all BULLSHIT?
The biggest failings for me week after week are:
1, The inability to do the simple option.
In the first half Williamson had the ball in the right back position and all he had to do was clear it out to safety. But no, he doubles back towards our keeper causing panic and we luckily escaped.
2, Our lack of vision.
The amount of times yesterday we gave the ball away to the opposition or just out of play was very very poor. I never saw him play but have been told TC could pass a 40 yard ball to a players foot inch perfect, this current lot could'nt pass 40 inches. If you put this together with point 3 as well would help.
3, The inability to find space.
When we attack if only players would spread wide or drift into space it would give our player with the ball options as opposed to running into dead ends.
4, The lack of skill.
In my opinion the only player we have with the skill to run with the ball is Jamie ward. Everybody else cannot keep the ball for more than 5 seconds.
If Blackwell could just get the team to practice the very basics we might have a chance. All around me yesterday you could hear " what the hell do they do in training all week" ?
Notice how they only surface when we aren't winning?
Surely they'd be the same when we were?

I remember that particular incident with Williamson and it was definitely down to number 3. He was looking for an outlet and no one was giving him one. A lesser player might have been content with just hoofing it upfield or out of play but the type of player Williamson is, he was looking to retain possession. Unfortunately no bugger else wanted to help him out.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't etc...

Are players going to express a difference of opinion and fallout with the manager when all he has to say is oooh look how my tactics etc are working weve just won again??? No didnt think so
Billy Sharp did.
Billy Sharp did.
It's more likely he relishes being in a team which plays football and actually creates chances for the strikers.Did you just see Kevin Philips second goal? I really thought Billy would have been that type of player for us, but it wasnt to be. I think Billy relishes being a big fish in a small sea, where the is no real expectations. I think he has found his level now.
