The question is how can we get rid of him? seriously he needs to go.Just thought I'd say this for the hell of it. Kind regards.
Wonder if Bob the Builder was there today? Sad thing is he'll think we did OK.

Transfer window closed so no difference if there was money to spend get him out now while we still have a chance. That;s the problem. While ever we're in the top half of the table and Blackwell keeps nodding his head, he'll still be in a job.
Plus if we want to replace him with someone else, anyone half decent, will want money to spend....which we don't have.
Catch 22 - Better the devil you know, or better the devil you don't?
Maybe I'd get shot for this suggestion, but I would like to see Simon Grayson in charge now. He seems to have turned a bunch of league 1 average players into a decent team that want to pass. The leeds link is a killer but if he did a job we would soon forget that
Agree, but why would he want to take a huge step down?
They will be in top 6 CCC next term, after spending big in summer, we will be total also rans at best.
Well there's a couple of ways of looking at that. Yes he's been given the go-ahead to sign players but he's also been told to radically slash the wage bill and to sell several of our best players. Technically, that's more like having money taken away from him, no?Your right there !
He thinks he's doing a wonderful job.
"Thankless job" - He's had plenty of money to spend and wasted most of it.
Please explain how Quinn gets a place in the team week after week.

And regarding Quinn, if you are indeed asking me and not being rhetorical, then I have to tell you I'm not defending Blackwell's team selections, tactics, methods or beliefs. All I'm saying is that maybe Blackwell isn't the major problem here. Bottom line, look at the starting eleven now and the starting eleven from 12 months ago and ask yourself how many of those players Blackwell wanted to sell. The fact is, after a long line of forced sales and a catastrophic injury list, it's a bloody miracle we are where we are. Yes, we can blame Blackwell for lack-lustre performances, turgid afternoons, mystifying team selections and laughable substitutions but surely by the same logic we should pay him his dues for keeping us in the hunt. Other clubs have gone through far less in terms of restructuring and found themselves in relegation battles.

my biggest fear is the drop in crowds. With what we all had to witness today, i think many may not return.
Time for the Odriscol card.

On paper i would say Blackwell is doing a great job. I read the team sheet before kick off and it is unrecognisable from last season/begining of this. However i only get to see live games on tv.

On paper it looks like he is doing a good job. I went to the bank machine earlier and checked by balance and it said i had £660 available but by the same token i have got a £500 overdraft facility available.
The depressing reality is that we are scraping points through a dire, unattractive game that is dull to watch and hardly inspiring.
I think that's an accurate description of how things are, but tell us how it can realistically change without using the overdraft?
In my own case i rarely use the overdraft but its somethings thats always there should need arise. The same with my credit card that gets used now and again when i need to make a big purchase but is usually paid in full within a month or two.
We are really up shit creek with a paddle at the moment, in masses of debt and there needs to be some admittance of this from the club rather than shedloads of piss, shit, wind and empty promises.
We've spent a hell of a lot of someone elses money for little tangible result.
