Seems fair enough to me.This latest snippet from Charlie Nicholas' weekend PL predictions.

I say no more.
Worst pun in a thread title of the 19/20 season so far.
Must try harder.![]()

I disagree. We have the right system. We aren't playing it to its fullest potential just yet. He's suggesting we keep trying to adjust the system as a whole. He's right.
Alrighty given there's nothing really to add to the OP I'll go for a 'terrible thread title' instead:Worst pun in a thread title of the 19/20 season so far. Must try harder.![]()
You could argue that our system has changed by bringing Lunny into a flat 3?I disagree. We have the right system. We aren't playing it to its fullest potential just yet. He's suggesting we keep trying to adjust the system as a whole.
We've played the same system every gameSeems fair enough to me.
I haven’t checked this out but a guy on Football Heaven last night said we had lost by more than one goal in over two years and only Liverpool had a better record in this period in in English football. If true it seems that we’re not used to teams sticking it to us.Everton will be clear favourites, predicting a 1 goal defeat with a late winner is hardly sticking it to us.
I predict we may get one or two suggesting a surprise draw and no-one saying we'll win.
No reason for offence taking here.

I don't think he's got it right. We're pretty set in our ways with the system, it's been tweaked since last season but no signs of changing.
Our system isn't actually costing us at the moment. More worryingly it's the players who don't seem to be quite up to the required level at the moment. Missing chances at one end & gifting goals at the other.
Get over it. Everton are the home team, more established, bigger and it's expected. Some of us have major inferiority complex on here.
We've had far more than our fair share of analysis and punditry ever since we gained promotion.
My exact point really. Not spitting my dummy out at the fact he thinks Everton will win and not suggesting he thinks we're hoofballers. We've played 3-5-2/5-3-2 every game so far only the strikers and injured players being rotated. To suggest we're trying different systems is crackers.
Maybe I misheard him and he said in over a year then? Either way, it still impressive isn’t it?Boro hammered us 3-0 at the start of last season.
Unlike Crooks,he was magnanimous enough to admit how " impressed he was with a side he knew little about" and thoroughly deserved our win. This latest snippet from Charlie Nicholas' weekend PL predictions.

To be fair, Charlie Nicolas was full of praise for us after the game, particularly praising the defence and focusing on John Egan as being brilliant today.
From an actual defensive point of view he's better than Maguire. To be fair, Charlie Nicolas was full of praise for us after the game, particularly praising the defence and focusing on John Egan as being brilliant today.
If ever a team knew their system and players knew their roles inside out...
He's just a bizarre little prick isn't he?A quote from Crooks today about Jordan Pickford - "He makes the striker's mind up for both goals making it easy for them"
If he was watching the match he'd know the first was an own goal?
