You could argue that our system has changed by bringing Lunny into a flat 3?
I'd also argue that we are much more direct this season, far less of the tippy tappy possession football.

I don't think he's got it right. We're pretty set in our ways with the system, it's been tweaked since last season but no signs of changing.

Our system isn't actually costing us at the moment. More worryingly it's the players who don't seem to be quite up to the required level at the moment. Missing chances at one end & gifting goals at the other.

I haven’t checked this out but a guy on Football Heaven last night said we had lost by more than one goal in over two years and only Liverpool had a better record in this period in in English football. If true it seems that we’re not used to teams sticking it to us.

My exact point really. Not spitting my dummy out at the fact he thinks Everton will win and not suggesting he thinks we're hoofballers. We've played 3-5-2/5-3-2 every game so far only the strikers and injured players being rotated. To suggest we're trying different systems is crackers.

You could read it as the different system being 3-5-2 instead of 3-4-1-2.

There's a considerable difference in the way we play due to Lundstram filling in Duffy's slot, we're set up for damage limitation instead of going for the win.

I watched soccer Saturday and Charlie was full of praise for us, said we were well drilled but was impressed by how we moved forward. Said Stevens went down the left and JOC went into the box "where's he going" he said.

He's just a bizarre little prick isn't he?

I personally didn't see the issue with the second. Great ball, Mousset ghosted in behind the defender, Pickford came out to narrow the angle and Mousset put it through his legs. It happens to a lot of keepers when the shot is close to them. It's not a howler.

First one, well, just bad defending all round, including, but not exclusive to Pickford.
