Nobody writing him off, the question is if he’s clinical enough. On today’s showing the answer is No.

I love McGoldrick but we aren’t going to get many of the chances he missed today, we need someone who is able to take them.

He should be on 4 or 5. Gotta drop him. Keep him as someone to come on when we're 1-0 to hold the ball up and win freekicks.

McBurnie isn't technically gifted, but there's no doubt he can finish. He'd have buried McGoldrick's chances today. So would Sharp

You cannot afford to miss chances in the division and its becoming a bit of a worry for me. I don't think anyone is writing him off but as a striker you have to do better. I would have possibly played Freeman today more of an attacking threat today. How long do we wait for McGoldrick to start scoring?But just my opinion. Discuss.

He’s a crackin’ player and I really like him. But FFS stop playing him as a striker - use him as the number 10 - and we’ll do a lot better.

Big fan of McGoldrick but only in the first 80% of the pitch. He is the perfect replacement for Duffy in my opinion - class player, but not a natural finisher.
And in the Premier League; that simply will cost us.

McGoldrick that can finish is Lacazette. And as such probably wouldn’t be playing for us. The rest of his game is excellent and without him I doubt we would create so many chances.
