Personally I think McCarthy football is miles better than O'Neill football, I've been watching every RoI game since we started getting half the team called up and it was painful watching O'Neill's team at times.

Alright at the back but so slow going forward.

Much improved under Mick, need to drop McClean though in my opinion, he's a ball hog and continually runs into blind alleys or refuses to play the easy ball so he can do a step over and get fouled.

McClean is a very ordinary player who owes his ongoing international career to the poppy controversy.

McCarthy is not going to break up his back 4, John will get his chance in due coarse .What a proud night for me personely , 3 blades on the team and a Cork man on the bench, Come on the boys in Green⚽⚽⚽👍👍

All the best! Gutted Egan's not starting though.

Stevens suspended from next game.
A bit lucky not to get sent off to be fair

I don’t get starting Keogh over Egan. I get that McCarthy doesn’t want to break up a settled back four, but surely Egan is the superior player who’s now playing regular PL football. Plus he’s actually Irish...

They have all been dreadful so far

Agree....in this game McGoldrick, Robinson and Stevens look no where near Premier League standard.
All 3 have had poor 1st touches, poor passing and poor awareness. McG and Robinson not linking up at all, too distant from each other.
It’s been a poor game with little entertainment so far.

Does James McClean realise he plays for Stoke? Pass the ball for fuck's sake, your not Eden Hazard.

Our lot woke up last 15 of that half, McG with a great run but the ball to Robbo was just too far forward for him.

Enda with a bit more composure.

Feel like RoI players just need to realise it's not a crime to take an extra touch, trying to play first time balls and they mostly go nowhere.

More movement, pick your passes, get it out wide.

About our former Northern Ireland international. recently retired...

'I can't understand it at all'

John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster
I just can't understand Oliver Norwood's retirement. He says he's protecting his club football - I just don't know what that means. He's 28 - I was 28 and played in the World Cup finals. I know Michael O'Neill has done everything in his power to make him realise that he's made a mistake.
Maybe his club are putting him under pressure but personally I just can't understand it all.
Aaron Hughes made the same decision but had a rethink and went on to have success at international level.

Switzerland break having a 2 against 1, with Stevens being last man.
Brilliant defending from Stevens cuts out the pass and a certain goal.

Switzerland look the better (classier) team but they’ve created very few chances.
Neither team has looked like scoring really, it’s as though both sides would be fairly happy with a 0-0 draw.

No surprise that Robinson has been subbed off on 60 minutes, he’s looked really poor.

Not a fan of Ireland and generally like to see them lose - just hope our players come through without injury.

Missed training yesterday, apparently having troubles with a tight muscle, we subbed him off for the same thing already this season. We'll need to keep an eye on that.

Had been quite poor though.

Kin hell has Enda been on drugs that defending was shocking when he gave the ball away !

Coleman. Does he start for Everton? Awful.
