Rooting for Rep of Ireland to make Euro 2020, want as many Sheffield United players in the Euro's as possible.

Would be nice to see a few of Hendo, JOC, Baldock and Lundstram (👀) get in the England squad too. I'd say the same about Scotland for McBurnie, but Scotland are woeful, and they always choose Bannan over Fleck so deserve to go out.

Talking to an Irish Chelsea fan on the tube on Saturday night ,he goes to every Chelsea game commuting from Dublin ,really good guy actually and he said it had been bitter sweet ,as an Irishman , he thought our Irish lads were superb. He was raving about Mcgoldrick in an Irish shirt.

Lundstram first call up I bet you a quid. The amount of team of the month/season so far/GW4 and surprise package videos I've seen him in you just know it.

JOC's stats are already great though (better than Mings in a lot of important places) so if we get some good results and England play a system similar to ours with 3 at the back you'd hope Southgate would do the right thing.

Back on topic, also rooting for RoI to do it, since McMarcarthy too over they're much improved, so I'm hopeful.

Baldock and Lundstram won't get near the England Squad, realistically.

JOC and Henderson might have a chance.
Think Baldocks been our best performers so far when Southgate has been watching.

I think our 3 at the back might hinder JOC

Scotland deserve to go out anyway

Baldock could.

Whilst i wouldn't disagree that Baldock has had a fantastic start to his Premier League career, and it would be great to see him get an England call up, he's currently behind:

Walker (though he's been left of the current squad, i think his international career is far from over)
Trippier (moving to Spain clearly hasn't affected his chances of getting called up)
Alexander-Arnold
Wan-Bissaka

It's just unfortunate that Right Back is probably currently Englands deepest position.

There's also future players like Reece James, Maitland-Niles, Walker-Peters and Max Aarons to consider.

Baldock?? 🤣🤣🤣

I have as much chance of growing a fully functioning mangina; as anyone of our players (Hendo not included) being called up for the full England side this season.

Whenever you hear the sound of thunder and the incoming lightning strikes, that's LYDON showing his appreciation for all things ''Green & White Blades'' ....

Not sure this is a good comparison but I think you're right, our players aren't as close as people think. But in a day where call ups are being handed out left and right to stop Wales/Scotland/Ireland cherry picking our players ALA brooks it wouldn't be beyond belief to see O'Connell and Henderson around and about it.

How did I manage to spell McCarthy so badly earlier haha

McMarcarthy FFS 😂 I blame Android autocorrect, it's shite.

Still sounds right if you say it out loud though.
I thought it was a joke
Made me laugh

Playing for Ireland is the last thing the lads need. There confidence will be destroyed.

Eh? Ireland are doing really well mate?!

So pleased for Mick Mcarthy, he's a proper manager and proper Yorkshireman! I really hope Ireland and Scotland thrive and to be honest I connect more with Ireland and Scotland than I do with England these days! Both are definitely footballing underdogs and that really relates to me as Blades fan which David McGoldrick commented on in the interview below.

Also, and sorry I'm delving into politics here, but as I've got older its clear to me that we're run and dictated to be London and the north/south divide has never been bigger, I feel northern not English if honest. I totally get why Scotland wants to leave the UK!

Come on Ireland!

Was said in jest mate. I love it here but I don’t think I could stomach it if they did too well, if someone gets a bronze medal they go nuts. The atmosphere is a lot more relaxed and the players certainly seem to enjoy themselves more in that environment. I still think there a few brave decisions away from a good team. Too many old players given games by just being at premiership clubs. Egan should have more caps then he does. Be interesting to see how they get on tonight. There’s still a lot of talk about the football not being great like under O’Neil, I don’t think either had a great deal to work with.

Good interview from Mcg there. Lots of Irish media questions about the Blades and he manages to get a dig in at Garth Crooks as well. Also bigs up the player sat next to him who we are rumoured to be looking at for the JTW. Seems Robinson will start with Mcg but in a three up front. Unfortunately McCarthy will continue his tunnel vision and not pick Egan when he needs CB's who can play the ball out from the back to benefit our two forwards game.

Sorry lads if you're reading this but I hope none of you get called up, can't risk an injury now can we?

Have a double like for this. Couldn’t agree more.

Didzy + McG surely guaranteed to start together after league form and previous link up play for ROI (see profile pic<<<)

And if they continue with form i'm sure it may just give chrissy a headache when it comes to Soton on 14th!
