Wilder wont' take any shit from the directors and doesnt' have to he is untouchable ;)
Yes he is and maybe mate and if they wind him up he could walk, United are well know for messing up a good thing all I want is for us to do well even if I played (lol), stay up and build on it I don't wanna go down I'll not see another promotion.

I think the Moose could force his way in,looks a realI handful, but can see McBurnie/Robinson being given a run as starters for now.
McB was fairly quiet but did some good things, and thought him and Robbo linked up quite well v Chelsea, and kept finding each other..Robbo just needs to work on holding onto the ball a bit better, but 100% pass rate on Saturday plus a goal and assist, and his mobility is good, and should get better with games.

I watched the highlights and can not remember McBurnie getting a touch?

He was substituted in the second half.

He will have to do better if he wants to be first choice. Robinson and Mousset looked quick and powerful in the highlights.

Are we spoilt for choice?

HH

Thought it might help if I mention my view of McBurnie on Saturday HH. I thought his all round game wasn't too shoddy. In the second half he had the ball on the left side of the pitch and placed a beautiful pass to Robinson who had made a great run down the middle. I quite like what I've seen of McBurnie so far, sure, there's room for improvement but I think his game will get better, thus his importance to us will become more visible.

i'm trying to remain positive :D AFAIK Wragg and Laver aren't here to fuck it up these days ;)

Not sure we will ever have a first choice front pair but no one has really made the position theirs yet
Mcburnie did well against Leicester and palace as a sub but couldn't be judged on Chelsea as he was cut adrift

Robinson has looked like he's struggled to.adapt to the step up mentally until the second half of Saturday where he looked exactly the player I was wanting us to sign for the last couple of transfer windows and will definitely get another start v Southampton

Mcgoldrick I think has played well and did again on Saturday when he came on but it's fair to say some of our easiest chances this season have fallen to him and he hasn't scored yet
Wouldn't write him off though

Sharp not really had a look in but scored with the only real chance he's had and played intelligently when he came on v Leicester
Wouldn't rule him out starting against Southampton

Mousset obviously still not up to match fitness bit hopefuy not too far away as I think he is potentially the most exciting signing United have ever made
His sub appearance on Saturday showed a guy with pace power and a calm composure when on the ball not likely to start in the Southampton but great to have on the bench

I agree. I just think in the long-term Mousset and McBurnie will be the main two. Purely spurious, I know, but just a hunch.

So do I. My confident hunch is that Tufty wouldn’t spend 25-30 million on players other than first-choices. I am not for one moment saying they should play because of price tags, that’s nonsense. I’m simply deducing the manager’s intentions. Put it this way, if all are fit and in form, that will be the ‘regular’ pairing though there will be enough rotation and substitutions to keep them all busy. I see Robbo in a free role in behind and Freeman more withdrawn
partnering Ollie in the centre.

The expensive new players, like it or not, have been recruited as replacements, not understudies. Whether that actually happens will and should be determined on merit, not transfer fees on the one hand, or sentimentality on the other.

i'd be interested to see us go all out playing proper Blades football from the first minute instead of from the 46th. this containing thing doesn't seem to be coming off as intended, it just means we give the oppo a goal start. We're good enough to play our way through the entire game. i hope CW sees it the same and lets the team off the leash from the off.

It worked brilliantly and secured our only win so far against Palace. We’re in with the elite now and that has different demands. Tufty and One have got their fingers on the pulse. It’s all good, as I believe they say.

No he doesn't but you don't buy a Ferrari and drive a Lada, been following far too long to think that you don't spend 20m to warm bench. We are Sheffield United not Man Ure it's a massive outlay and he has to justify it, he also has to juggle the team and pick what he thinks is the right one for each scenario.

I agree but would put the point from a slightly different angle. Tufty won’t play anyone simply to justify the expenditure on said player, but he damn well wouldn’t have directed such expenditure on any player not intended to be first choice.

I take it you’ve had a by-pass? My dad had a quadruple at the NGH and it gave him twenty years of fit and active life that he wouldn’t have otherwise had.

❤️ NHS. The jewel in our crown. Maintain it at all costs.

Hiya Pinchy yes I had a quadruple at NGH in 2005 so it's 14 years almost, I know I'm on borrowed time how much I don't know I've also had stents and a defibrillator fitted. I worked for 8 more years then got too much I'm pretty much buggered, tablets keep me alive but glad they do. Mind you manky heart, Blade supporter recipe for disaster, up to now I've had 14 extra years like your dad I wouldn't have had just get fed up of all medication cheers mate. I was given 6 months to live 4 years ago but I'm a grumpy stubborn old twat and I'll go when ready, not when they say.

Well I wish you all the best and plenty of it. Stay positive and enjoy the Tuftyball!
