I have never felt so relaxed at 1-0 with time left to play

Seriously, we never looked like conceding today. We had them on toast all over the park.

Funny, Baldock, Freeman, Bash, Stevens all immense. Not too shabby elsewhere either.

It's early days but I predicted us to stay up comfortably before a ball was kicked and am sticking by it. Consider that we still have quality that has barely featured yet, and there is clearly more to come.

We are here to stay.

UTB 😍

Just shows that we can see games out with ease. Our home results will keep us up if we keep to this standard

By the way, that should read Lunny, not Funny

Well I was totally unrelated lol! It was such a big three points and we deserved them so much. I kept saying 'they will create one big chance'. Fortunately they didn't!

I was nervy because we looked so comfortable. Thought we were comfortable but seemed afraid to get forward after we scored. On another day we’d have gone forward and taken them to the cleaners....

We did a right job on them.

We’d done our homework, we worked them everywhere on the pitch and I thought Baldock and Stevens won their battles so that the rest of the team had to work, but had easier jobs because of them. If that makes any sense

Did you not think Stevens was less positive going forward today? Don't think for a minute I am slagging him off but didn't look to go past anyone himself.

Tactics, I think. We are clearly going to be a little more cautious this season, then throw on game changers later on. Our subs have been absolutely crucial in both games so far. Credit to them and also our smart management team, Tufty and One. Brilliant.

Agreed. I think maybe it was more noticeable when Zaha was on that side. Zaha seemed to switch wings a few times, but we seemed ready for that with either Basham or JOC backing up Baldock or Edna. Seemed a definite strategy to deal with him.

Stevens was still plenty high enough to contribute to the goal.

Think Jags was brought on to mark that big fucker Wickham at the end. Good idea. Would be gutting for an ex grunt hero to score a late one.

I've said similar about the cautious approach. It'll be interesting to see whether that's hesitance while we see how our team stacks up against established Prem sides, and we have played two teams that specialise in counter-attacking play, or if we'll get a bit more adventurous if things are going well.

Indeed. I think it’s an adjustment rather than a sea change. Still doing the overload but being more selective in picking the moment. We have a very bright management team. Their hug at the end said it all.

No, no; not in that way...

Settled well and looked relaxed and played as if were were enjoying it. We do not look out of place and have nowt to lose.

Immense afternoon that I totally enjoyed.

I knew we had these around 70mins when palace player wanted a fight with Baldock & many palace fans got arrested. I got quite confident, because I thought we've got these they are rattled. confirmed the way the trying to rush the game
