I thought he was exceptional today, made some great passes and was awesome for the goal. I admit didn't really know too much about him when we got him from QPR, but he has shown me that he can be a pretty crafty player and I personally think he should start the match against Leicester

Was going to start a similar thread. I think we always look a better team when we have someone in the role that Duffy has filled so well the last few years. Freeman is clearly the reason why Wilder could afford to play hard ball with Duffy.

In total agreement Phippsy 😜

Myself & Pinchy discussed the merits of Freeman playing in Fleck's role on another thread after the Bournemouth game. He showed today that he has the engine & tenacity for it, as well as the quality on the ball. He was brilliant today, ran himself into the ground for us.

I read that in an American accent and the football slant didn't fit. I was hoping to read about how totally rad it was that he nearly scored a touchdown.

Correct. He’s much more tenacious than I was expecting, likes a tackle. Has to start.

Was the difference to-day when he came on after a slow and languid start. Made the goal and his quick feet, pace and pressing were a bonus.

I agree he has to be pushing for a start, but would also like to see Rav on the bench, which would be harsh on Fleck if injured to get back in. I am glad I am not CW what a difficult dilemma.

He looked good vs Bournemouth as well. I think he's got to start. Unfortunately, I think Fleck has to make room. Lundstram has been playing really well, and Norwood's passing skills are too good for us to leave out.

very impressed. Played excellent as part of a flat 3 for most of the time.

Great work for the goal, but very competitive throughout

Disappointed to see Fleck go off but Freeman was very impressive, like Duffy on speed!
Will start Satday

He seems like a faster Duffy, not just physically but his decision making.

The thing about Freeman that makes him so good for us is that

Of course he can pass (like the other players) BUT he has a trick and can dribble with the ball, just like Duffy used to do.

Some of us remember a little fat lad playing for Stevenage and ripping us a new one. Wanted us to sign him ever since. Fucking so pleased we have!
