Ravel Morrison

He tweeted in support of Saido Berahino after Glenn Johnson had slaughtered him on Talk Sport......Alan Brazil then had a ping at Ravel on his breakfast show and basically told him to concentrate on his own shit, (which is probably right to be fair) but maybe Ravel empathizes with Berahino and the fact that Johnson basically called him out as a c**t in public was out of order. Certainly in these days of Mental Health awareness I thought Johnson should have been a little more reserved in his attack.

that said if we do have a "Twitter Editor" then he/she should have advised Ravel it probably would be better not to get involved.

Either way, I am sure he will have a big part to play for us this season.
I think all RM did was like a tweet saying Johnson’s comments weren’t helpful for a guy looking for a new club. Did I miss where he came out stronger than that?
Alan Brazil can fuck off talking about anything to do with professionalism.

Not sure Bob, I didn't see the tweets but Brazil was laying into Rav so I think it was just a bit more than liking someone elses tweet...

I follow Morrison and didn’t see anything apart from the like. I’m going to go with Alan Brazil getting some attention by pulling Morrison into it.
I thought it was ill advised just because it pulls you into something you don’t need to be focusing on.
Then again I’m a hypocrite as I do it all the time on here.

Edit - he’s not tweeted anything just liked these posts.

Fair enough Bob......Brazil literally only singled Ravel out, no-one else, which is bang out of order if he only "liked" tweets...…(I suppose he could have tweeted himself and quickly deleted)…..I'm really surprised Talk Sport, Johnson and Brazil have got away with this rant without having to issue an apology, Berahino may have pissed a few team mates off but the lad has been through an awful lot. He won't be the first rotten apple in a dressing room, most clubs will have at least one or two disruptive characters.

Thought it was fair.....can’t think of any other highly talented players of good PL standard failing to make a career or hardly even play at any level based on reports of their poor attitude.

It’s an interesting subject.....player’s who have the talent to be decent PL players.....but don’t (on the surface) seem bothered to try or work for it.
A few years ago we’d call these players “lazy, unprofessional or life’s wasters” but how much should be given to that individuals upbringing, whether they suffered emotional trauma or emotional/ physical abuse and how that might effect that players mental health.

Talksport didn’t give that angle though and it seems that Ravel’s tweet was stating that everything isn’t always as simple as what people think.
I heard Johnson talking live and was surprised that it was so much of a character assassination against his ex team mate and he got away with it.

Sounds like there’s a discipline problem at the club and the manager and senior pros should have resolved those issues. If not, he’s in breech or contract and it would have been simple and cheaper, to terminate the deal if what Johnson is saying is true and it was constant. So you have the stick approach open to you as well as trying to root out the clear problems.
Also, as a senior pro, what was he doing to try and find out what the issues were and why his attitude wasn’t right?
He’s digging out a player he doesn’t like but what did he do to try and remedy it and help his fellow pro? I can understand the frustration but I’d be expecting my experienced guys to be working on the inside to help me on the outside resolve his problems. If everyone does that and it doesn’t improve then he’s out, and as manager you decide when to call it, but it sounds like he was a talented but troubled guy who was ignored and just written off as a bad ‘un.
If Johnson and talksport think it’s educating people or it’s entertaining then that’s on them, but there’s more to this than simply criticising the player, even if the examples are true, which I’m sure they are. Maybe that is what Ravel is liking.
It’s very simple leadership and managerial skills but it seems both were lacking here and alongside the under professionism and indiscipline it was never going to work out.

Alan Brazil:

A presenter so professional that he regularly goes on weekend freebie benders, fails to show up for work the next day due to his poor state of health, then rocks up on a Tuesday and OPENLY BRAGS about being off because of his piss up.

This is a regular occurrence and he continually gets away with it. It's almost like talksport find it amusing.

He’s also been sacked a few times because of his poor behaviour but he wears it like a badge of honour bragging about his unprofessionalism.

He‘s really old fashioned.. says thinks like “if Saido Berinho was in my team I’d have banged him out....pow..take that”.....encouraging violence.
Says thing like “cooker...washing machine...kettle,.....what’s that? Ive never stepped foot in the kitchen in years that’s what the wife is for”
Says “there’s too many snowflakes don’t see anything wrong in abusing players...it’s all part of the game and was normal when I was playing”
Says “come on I’m no where near an alcoholic.....2 or 3 jars after work is not alcoholism,,,it’’s fine and helps me relax”

True stories these because I heard him say it
He’s actually said “I get up at 4am for work and my wife gets up with me to make me my cornflakes”
Also said whilst laughing “the last time I got sacked....I said to the wife that day we’re going skiing in the Alps and thanks to Talksport had a fantastic holiday”

It was nailed on at the time, bit like Maupay was almost certainly nailed on at one point, sometimes things change in football.

We are all aware that things change, but you use this as an excuse for everything you get wrong yet everything you get correct has already been in the public domain when you post it. Unless proved otherwise I see you as nothing more than an attention seeking troll which is a pity as you may be a nice guy who enjoys playing out now that the summer holidays are here.

Intrigued to know who your source for exclusive information is, without naming names do you hang around with; players, management team, ownership etc. Etc.
