Ravel Morrison

He's acting like a teenage girl on social media after one game and someone rightly criticising a player who pissed his chances up the wall.

Wilder read Brooks the riot act after he posted a photo of him in hospital when he was ill. He won't tolerate this nonsense.

How do you know it's about him not in the squad?

I don't and never said it 100% was. Wilder has spoken out about social media before. And how he doesn't like it. Vague shit like this, especially around match days, won't impress him.
Does that mean you don't like the guy?

Why do people see something on Social bleeding Media and start reading stuff into it.

Social Media doesn't show your true emotions and no amount of Emojis will change that. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, even this site, is rammed full of people trying to portray themselves as different to whom they actually are!

I can confirm this is true 👀👀👀🥶

He’s a grown adult..........Wilder will have looked him straight in the eye and laid his cards on the table. If Ravel has given it the “thousand yard stare” Wilder wouldn’t have touched him with a barge pole.

If this is purely 'trial by social media' then he's actually extremely liked and positive.
He is always liking other players stuff, commenting and joining in with all the fun and optimism.

No idea this weird post is about but I'm old and don't get anything these young uns do.

One thing I would say is with Lundstrum seemingly a key factor in that flat 3 I don’t see Rav getting in the squad until injuries occur.

Should we go one in the hole he’ll probably look to start Freeman, then would Besic/ Lundstrum be on the bench as cover? Selection headache for wilder.

What a load of old shit and I can’t believe grown adults are actually giving their considered opinion on an obscure social media post. I guess we’re lucky to have such a collection of Sigi Freud’s on our forum, able to diagnose an issue exists and the specific cause from a photo.

I'd play him against the top 6. Just give him a free role and tell him to fill his boots.

Not a huge fan of domestic abusers no. But my opinion on him is purely based on his career
On 15 January 2015, Morrison was cleared of all charges of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and her mother. Charges were dropped after CCTV evidence was studied, try not to judge people when you don't know the facts. He did throw her mobile phone out of a window though previously yeah he's been a bit naughty in the past but so have a lot of people when they were younger.
His career would suggest he is a bloody good footballer who needs a bit of direction to get on the right path, Wilder thinks he could be a good investment anyway, I think I'll trust his judgement.

You are talking about another court case ( busy lad!) But it's totally irrelevant even if it leaves me uneasy. It's his football career, or lack of it, that makes me negative about him.

All footballers should have a Twitter editor. Stops them posting things not approved by the club. Sounds harsh - but we do pay them a lot of money each week and I reckon that it's the least we deserve.

Nah, the least we deserve is that they turn up and play well on a match day if they’re in the squad. I’m not particularly fussed about anything outside of that, as long as they stick within the law and don’t fuck up the team spirit.

Wilder will decide when the time is right but he should be aware we see him as the second coming, 🎼🎶 I’m so excited.....

You seem pretty worked up about it. Why don’t you lie down on the couch and tell us about your father.

Nailed on you said , from the horses mouth ,well the horses bro , and now 382 goals later......

It was nailed on at the time, bit like Maupay was almost certainly nailed on at one point, sometimes things change in football.

Morrison will be ok, he had a few words with some other footballer on Twitter I think - seems the berk dissed RM's mate so he came to his defence. The sort of thing he should avoid at this stage but he's human and clearly a loyal mate so cut him some slack. Wilder will be on top of this, and Rav's chance will come. He just needs to maintain his focus and see the present and future.

He tweeted in support of Saido Berahino after Glenn Johnson had slaughtered him on Talk Sport......Alan Brazil then had a ping at Ravel on his breakfast show and basically told him to concentrate on his own shit, (which is probably right to be fair) but maybe Ravel empathizes with Berahino and the fact that Johnson basically called him out as a c**t in public was out of order. Certainly in these days of Mental Health awareness I thought Johnson should have been a little more reserved in his attack.

that said if we do have a "Twitter Editor" then he/she should have advised Ravel it probably would be better not to get involved.

Either way, I am sure he will have a big part to play for us this season.

I mean I hope he was pissed off at being left out. Thats the type of attitude we want from him well as long as he channels his frustration into getting into the squad.

to think we have Mousset and Morrison to add to that match-day squad too is pleasing

Much better described than my post.........one side is that Rav needs to focus, otherwise his talent will become a secondary aspect to most things, flipping this over, can't fault a mate defending a pal, but this is where Wilder, and possibly the team, can offer mentoring and guidance to Rav. He's still young-ish, so whatever assumptions we may have, maybe a little understanding is what's needed at this moment. Of course Rav has to take responsibility for his actions, but it's early days, so let's cut the fella a little slack and see where it leads.
