Rangers supporters now feel that the McBurnie fee is an 'absolute joke', and should spark Rangers into asking for around £30million for Morelos if McBurnie is worth around £20million.

Many feel that McBurnie is a fraction of the player Morelos is, and Rangers would be selling themselves short if they don't react and hike up their price for the Colombian.

£20m for an unproven striker in the Premier League is indeed crazy money. It looks like we're paying anywhere between £17-20m, if the media are to be believed.

However, as was pointed out elsewhere, for a side earning £200m for just going up and playing one season in the Premier League, it represents 10% of the earnings. With the McBurnie deal, we'll have spent less than 25% of the revenue earned on Transfer fees.

Crazy money and unbelievable to think that last season this was our entire salary budget for a season and in league one the 500k we spent on Billy Sharp was a big fee to pay... We've come a long way in 4 years.

There's a Rangers fan in my office and he is firmly on this bandwagon.

I've argued 23 goals in a struggling championship team is more of an achievement than anything Morelas has managed in British football. Coupled with the fact he's a shocking character and got himself sent off literally about 6 times last season means, as mentioned above, they're talking shite as usual.

I just looked and Villa got 3 payments when they came down in 2015/16 - 40.9, 34 and 15.1

I think that the new tv deal has come in since then so revenues resulting from 1 season in the premier league will be up around £200m. Lazy but it’s a nice round figure to demonstrate a point

Costs will increase, but Our transfer dealings realistically won’t reach £50m either, with incentives, appearance and other add on fees we’ll be anywhere between £35-50m.
