We're a bit unfortunate at the moment as it seems even the big teams are beginning to look to the championship for players, Man u after Mc Ginn at Villa, Spurs got Clarke from Leeds if nothing else it bumps the prices up.

Christ are man united trying to get automatic promotion McGinn and the winger from Swansea mental

Had a quick look through threads on here, and can't find him mentioned anywhere. I think he's a great little player, and the type that would fit in with CW's requirements; hard-working, hungry, out to prove himself.
He's contracted for 1 more year at Hull, and valued at around 7million. I don't see us matching that valuation, but would be good if we showed interest with a 4-5 million pound bid. Maybe follow it up in January when he's nearing the end of his contract.
Been mentioned a few times, I mentioned him a couple of seasons back.

He's a great player, there's no way Hull would let him go for £5m.

You're talking more like £15m to have any chance.

How high will Grosiscki’s wages be at Hull? Could see him performing a Duffy type roll for us. He also looked very handy for Hull in the Prem under Marco Silva from memory

I like him as well, but I think he will still be on Premier money. Whether that's too much for us, I'm not sure. Whether Chris fancies him is probably more pertinent. Having said all that, surely Freeman is destined for the Duffy role?

Yeah, you’re probably right - with Freeman coming in, that area is no longer our priority (especially if Ravel impresses on trial). He’s just one who always looks good to me and has a lot of top level experience (including being a regular starter for Poland)

I see Norwich & Southampton seem to be “leading the race” for Jarrod Bowen according to reports. He’s one I would seriously look at, irregardless of the options we may already have in that position. A great age and a definite first XI upgrade. Would bring pace, goals and creativity at the top of the field.

Surely Utd are well set for attacking midfielders with Duffy, Freeman, Morrison (assuming he'll be offered a contract) and Robinson all able to play there. I feel there are other priority positions, most notably up front, that the remaining resources should be focussed on.

Bowen a good player not sure how he fits in now we have Robinson

He’s an improvement on Duffy & potentially a long term replacement for McGoldrick.

Undoubtedly a good player but what he'd cost (~£15m?) surely needs to be spent elsewhere on the squad i.e. strikers, RCB, CM, GK instead.

Perhaps he'd be a good option in 12 months time if he doesn't go elsewhere and Utd survive in the Prem.

If we could’ve got Bowen for anywhere near the region of £15M then we should’ve grabbed it with both hands, he’s going to turn out to be a top quality player who’ll be worth more than double that in years to come.

Not an out and out striker but one to seriously consider as an alternative to Maupay if under £15m.

If he's a prolific goalscorer does it matter that he's not a CF? Maupay's a CF but we'd surely always play him with a strike partner too.

Bowen RW and Robinson LW supporting a CF would be excellent and either one of them could play as more of a striker with someone in the Duffy role.

There are more direct, suitable alternatives to Maupay but with Bowen we'd also be securing a similar major asset.

You nailed it with your last 5 words. We’d be securing a major asset, with resale value. The money wouldn’t be dead. He’d improve what we have. It would probably require a business case to the board for additional funds, but it’d be so worth it.

For me, himself & Che Adams were the two biggest (realistically attainable) assets from the division.

You are creating a brand new formation here, who says Wilder wants to do this?

Going to Newcastle
Hull said £15 million
Newcastle said OK instead of trying to get him for £10 million because he's unproven in the Prem.
Newcastle don't believe that by offering less they will unsettle him due to all players having a bad attitude

Newcastle player within two days I reckon

We ain't gonna splash that sort of cash on that type of player ..this summer ...another centre forward a priority
