Greetings everyone, fresh back after a suspension.
I'm fit and raring to go and I'm delighted to be back so I can torment your bleeding hearts with a few more home truths for a while until it becomes too much for you all and I get barred again.
Anyway, back to Henderson. We should have fucked him off as soon as he went fishing for a new contract at Man Utd.
The time it's taken with Man Utd being unsure whether to give it him a new contract or not, plus we've run the risk of his new contract pricing us out of a potential loan move.
This showed what really motivated him.
We were told we only want players who want to be here, yet we've bent over backwards for somebody that doesn't.
We should have immediately tabled a £7-£8 million bid for him on the first day of the transfer window opening, with decent Premier League wages.
This would have given Man Utd something to think about, they were unsure about offering Henderson the improved contract initially and this could have been their way out of it.
They could always have bought him back if he proves himself, saving themselves £75,000 a week and pocketing £7-£8 million quid in the process, but at least we'd have got something out of it as well.
