If we sign Hart, that'll be the worse than Brooks leaving on the gutted scale.

Absolutely shite.

We'd have to buy another keeper in January anyway if we had him, Burnley would've been relegated if Heaton hadn't stepped in at Christmas

At the current stage of harts career I honestly reckon Moore is a better keeper. He’s been trash for about 4 seasons.

I agree, he has not immediate future at Man Utd. And he's clear he wouldnt want to sit on the bench and play the odd cup game
I read that and thought you were talking about Diego dG.....took me a minute....it’s been a long day

As trash as Harts been ..he's light year better than Moore ..Hart is ala David James ..he will have a few good years at the end of his careeer ...somewhere ..let's hope it's not us ..

Tbh if we'd got a few more quid I wouldn't have Moore as second choice..but financially that might not be viable

Surly of you think Hart will have a few good years then why wouldn’t you want them at us?

Because I think he might be shit as he has been ..but have a purple patch ...it could be his next move it could be the one after ..me personally I wouldn't risk it as it's our top priority...

He could keep us up..if inspired...or it can go tits up..for me I wouldn't take that chance bearing in mind a goalkeeper will be our most important signing for the last 10 years ...

End of the day past record counts for fk all ..Burnley third choice these days ..

Much prefer to go for someone safer ...who's been involved more often ...

It’s all getting a little tiresome with Hendo if I’m honest.
What I don’t get, is that he claims he wants to play for Man U, yet he’s just seen their number one keeper get a huge new long term deal!
He’s at least 2 years away from leaving as no clubs could afford to buy a player with such a long contract.
Hendo also insists he won’t sit on a bench and would rather play, and sees himself as England number one.
That means he needs to be playing premier league football and be good at it. Man U wouldn’t sell him to a big rival like City/ Arsenal/Liverpool/Spurs etc...which means he needs games at a club like United.

Bear with me, I’m getting to the point.

Hendo is apparently being offered a new Man U deal, quite a good pay rise with long term security. If he accepts that then to me he just becomes another prisoner to a top club. They have complete control over the next 5 years!
Surely if he’s so confident in his ability, determined to play and get himself as Man U first choice his best option is to get a transfer. If he’s so good Man U will buy him back!
That way all the uncertainty is gone, he can settle down and get his game perfected. I honestly think the best deal for him would be a transfer to us. Refuse the contract offer and just get back ASAP and playing.

Deano is signing for the blades chillax

In the words of Gary Barlow Have a little patience

Tbh though I'd take Hart over Fraser Forster who the fk suggested him....now he is a busted flush if ever there was one ...

Feel the same way about hart to be fair

Seems like he never improved or worked on his weaknesses and has got to the stage where what made in a top keeper is declining.

Overall I’m not sure he’s premier league quality at anything other than ‘fronting up’ after a mistake now.

Adrian on a free could be a decent shout to be fair

Pope too expensive.
McCarthy a better option from Saints.
Blackman just has serious injury, and don’t consider him anywhere near ready for regular premier league football.
Angus Gunn is ahead of McCarthy too. Forster is poor.

I think Pope will be Burnley’s no 1.

Have I missed something? What are the decisions he’s failing to make sensibly?
There's a real danger that he will sign up for 5 years as a (at best) 3rd choice keeper and spend the majority of his career as a loanee at a long list of Championship clubs, possibly even being 2nd choice at some of them. You can point to the money he's about to earn, but I really don't believe he's all about the money. If he hadn't set his heart on being Man Utd's 1st choice keeper, he would be looking for a lucrative transfer deal right now as a number 1 at a big club / PL club.

Given MU's love affair with 'name' players, and yes, the wages DH will receive as third choice, even with all of this the boy seems intent on becoming first choice for his club. Sadly I doubt it will happen, and ideally he should seek to become a top 1st choice keeper for another team, where no doubt his talents will shine and so will his reputation. I think this may be a case where the folly of youth offers limited guidance and will result in a career that could have been.

Man U are fucking idiots.

We should say we’ll pay you his previous wages and a loan fee or cover his ridiculously high wages you needlessly paid him.... and in return you get your player to play 36 PL games.

Glad wilder is working on some permanent options so we don’t get caught out.

That said if we sack him off - it would open up a second PL loan spot? Somewhere in defence?

The least we should ask if those cunts demand a loan fee is that he's allowed to play against them.

If we move on from Hendo then I really liked the look of Christian Walton from Brighton who was on loan last season at Wigan. He looks like he's about to join Blackburn though!

Wonder if Leicester want to cut their losses on Danny Ward? If the figures are similar, I'm prefer him over Heaton based on their ages if nothing else.

8million for a 33 year old keeper does not seem great value...

He’s made his bed and achieved his number 1 ambition with a £50,000/week contract. He can’t expect us (or anyone else) to pick up his tab.

I can see him becoming a bencher or playing in the lower manure teams for a long lonely time.

Move on I say, nice while it lasted and sign someone more reasonably priced.

I'm pretty sure that Henderson isn't telling Man U to make us pay his full wages and to give them a loan fee.

It's true that he's got the contract that he wanted, but to lay any blame on the deal not happening is unreasonable.

It's not up to them; it's a league ruling to prevent third party influence. Something Fatty Samuels moaned about when we wouldn't let Watford play Steve Kabba against us

Not blaming him PP but I am saying he can’t be surprised we won’t pick up what he’s exploited from manure. No hard feelings but he knows we aren’t in the same position as they are financially. Plus he still has a few mistakes in him, if he was a proven PL player I could see the argument to risk it, but he’s not.

To be fair to Man U, of all the top clubs in this country they do give young lads a chance if they are good enough.

If Deano believes he is good enough then I can’t fault him for giving it a go at Man U, he’s got a better chance of a game than at most top 6 clubs.

Not keepers though, not really.

His outfield mates might be getting CL appearances and he might be thinking he'll be afforded the same opening, but there are 10 spots to fill Vs 1 and you don't change a keeper unless they've seriously shit the bed or got injured, and even then, Romero would have to be out of the picture too, and even then Grant might be ahead of him.

He has to prove he's exceptional to get in at Man U, and to prove that he has to play. He won't do that to any decent level at Man U, not yet.

I appreciate it’s always going to be tougher for a keeper, but he’s obviously backing his ability and I can’t fault that.

He can certainly afford to spend a year on the bench at Man U at his age. Ole looks to be going for youth which can only help Deano. To me it’s far too early for him to give up on playing for Man U.

That was different as we’d sold Kabba to Watford, not loaned him.

Henderson has stated that he wants to be in the England Euro squad next summer.... Not going to get that sat on a bench. I'd also suggest going back to the championship championship won't help him either.

He really needs to tell Man U that he wants to go on loan and try and push the issue abit more.

It’s his career - if he wants to be England’s number one he needs to make sure he’s playing regularly. Take charge of it and demand the loan - it really is that simple
