Write this lad off Tufty.

To your detriment 😉.

Much to offer this coming season. Won’t be a mainstay but absolutely should not be a bit part player either.

Yes it’s a friendly, against the mighty Chez Vegas to boot. But that was a masterclass in finishing by ANY standard.

Keep it up Bill 👏👏👏⚽️⚽️⚽️.

The finish for his second to round off a great passing move was absolute class !
Top captain imo and will definitely play a very important part this season , on a side note Callum Robinson looked bloody good tonight, always taking it on the half turn and some sublime touches, no wonder Preston fans were gutted he he !!
As ever UTB !

Header for the third was pretty good too.

Consistently beating 6'2" defenders to the ball.

3 of his 4 pre season goals so far have been from left sided crosses. All from Stevens I think?

His second header tonight was a classic. Like Blackburn away again.

Great chipped finish too, assisted well by Freeman.

Can I please say how fantastic McGoldrick looks too? Leaner than ever. Peak condition. I can't take my eyes off him 👀 😍 ❤ 👀 ❤

He’s so important to the club. Going to miss him when he goes.

I think you've took it wrong, but nevertheless, we can have a scrap if you want?
I'll forego beating you up if you promise not to repeat such a poor performance.
Last chance though.

FACT: Whenever opposition fans start singing "you fat bastard" you can put your money on Billy scoring. The second they started singing that I said "he's getting the next goal".

It's a universal truth. We need to make sure every visiting fan knows to sing it. ;)

My only concern about Billy this season is VAR - his movement and finishing are superb but he treads a fine line with being offside and, whilst linesmen give him the benefit of the doubt, VAR won’t, particularly when you see how they used it at the women’s world cup (eg their nose was offside, even though their feet weren’t).

I mentioned this over in Portugal, he looks a yard quicker off the mark as well. He's clearly worked hard during the break to make sure he's ready to step up.

I don't think it was the girls noses that were offside ( . )( . )

Has Wilder written him off or is it another one of these ‘Wilder hates Sharp’ posts?

Ask Boris for a job. He’s gonna need a few loathsome types happy at peddling untruths in the next few weeks 😉.

It's also the result of a sustained run of fitness and having no long pre season break due to being with Ireland.

I stumbled on a post on Blades Mad from 2014... "Billy Sharp was pants for us".

Some things never change 🤣 🤣 🤣

Not only that but is absolute shithousery will be noticed more too. He’s constantly unsettling defenders, knocking them off balance and sometimes treads a fine line but tends to get away with it.

His movement in the box alone though is enough to earn him 10 goals a season at any level.

This works both ways - there are times when players called offside were onside.
